These lights are bright, and they do pretty darn well. Sometimes, the colors do not line up perfectly, but it gets a lot of stuff right too.. My biggest concern with these lights were, was it going to make me sick, or be hard to look at because of the constant motion, and changing, but i found them to be very easy to look at, and immersive. Hardware install was pretty easy, and the 9 (i think) support clips strategically hold the lights from coming off, as this problem will generally start in the corners, and then continue to slowly work there way off the back of your tv. The control box, and support clips already have double sided tape on it so just peel, and stick. Honestly what gave me the hardest time was synching it with the WIFI, and just learning to navigate the app. There is a lot in there to get your head around, but don't worry, if i can do it, so can you.     • Needs some light refinement but a very worthwhile lighting element
Size: 11.8FT for 55"-65" TV
I’ve had this installed on a 65 inch 2017 model Bravia 4K LED TV for one one month. The good first: -It’s not a gimmick. I find that while being immersive, it’s more of an improvement to eye strain especially when viewing in a dark room. It helps the content “melt” into the viewing setting more comfortably. -Install is a breeze -App is relatively easy to use and very stable -LED colors are delightfully rich. Definitely high quality diodes used The not so good: -Having bought the 55-65in kit for a 65in TV, it definitely feels like the strips could have been just a tad longer. There are definitely light gaps at the corners Things needing improvement: -The sharp camera viewing angle causes color inaccuracy which every TV but OLED has relatively limited angles. The easiest way to improve this would be extending the camera protrusion outwards from the screen by even just 2 to 3 inches which would open up the angle that the camera is seeing from -The white balance and saturation settings need a work over. Any saturation settings on the app over 1% result in terrible accuracy. And the baseline white balance is very red. Govee should simply release an official YouTube video of a white background including the orange markers instead of making you stick something to the screen, AND a guide to tune your picture settings for best results with contrast images, black settings adjustments, etc. Automated color tuning would also be pretty slick -The camera needs a black uniformity correction setting as well. Most LED panels will at least have some variations of blackness across a single black screen, especially visible from sharp angles like the camera is mounted at. This causes the camera to see black or dark screens as very dark green, dark purple, or dark gray which causes wrong coloring to appear. A slider option to tune dark colors to be smoother across the panel would help Overall I’m pretty satisfied with the light.
