Features

  • Latest HDMI 2.1 Interface: Govee AI Sync Box 2 adopts the latest HDMI 2.1 interface for data transmission, enabling screen and lighting synchronization, and supporting resolutions of up to 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 144Hz. Note: The TV backlight requires an external HDMI input source for color extraction.
  • Unique CogniGlow Technology: Govee Sync Box uses AI to automatically recognize images and text, determining trigger conditions to match specific lighting effects. HDMI 2.1 Sync Box supports VRR and ALLM, reducing screen tearing and latency, providing a seamless experience.
  • RGBWIC Four-Color Mixing: An RGBWIC LED light strip ensures purer white light and accurate color blending for vibrant effects, making it better suited for game visuals.
  • High-Density Light Strip: With 75 LEDs/m and a brightness of 450 lumens/m, the high-density light strip cooperates with our Sync Box to provide a brighter and more comfortable experience.
  • Matter Support: Seamlessly integrates with multiple smart ecosystems, supporting convenient voice control.
  • DreamView: Synchronize colors across multiple Govee lights to create an immersive gaming environment. Equally supports Dolby vision and Doldy atmos.
  • A special note for using HDR, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision: Due to the functional characteristics, when you turn on HDR, HDR1O+, or Dolby Vision, the saturation of the light's color might decrease, which is normal. You can also adjust the saturation in the app to achieve a satisfying lighting effect.

Top Amazon Reviews

  • The review I wish I saw—and why this deserves 5 stars (even if it’s not perfect)
Size: 11.8FT for 55"-65" TV
The media could not be loaded. A lot of what I see other people saying is slightly misleading. I see a mix of: •AAAA AMAZING PERFECT!! •extremely underwhelming. •Good but... *proceeds to list fatal flaws* Here's my honest two cents. What it does well, what it doesn't, and why I'm never owning a TV without one again. Let's get into it. Immersion: This thing is insane. If you’ve never experienced anything like it before, prepare to be hooked. It adds a whole new layer to the experience—it’s not just watching anymore, it’s experiencing. Explosions light up the room, emotional scenes set the mood, and suddenly your TV feels alive. It's hard to find words for how much it changes your enjoyment of what you're watching. Colors Response and HDR: The responsiveness is great, no noticeable lag. (It supports 4K at 144Hz, and if you need 8K for your TV… well, you’re probably crazy, but it does handle it at 60Hz.) I’ve seen camera-based systems, and honestly, they don’t even come close in speed. Not at all. HDR has been great for me too, though it really just depends on your TV. If you’re seeing complaints about that, I wouldn’t let that be the reason why you wouldn’t buy. The backlight is very accurate to what’s happening on the edges of the screen. Sure, if you’re the type to sit and stare at the lights instead of the show for five minutes, waiting for an “AHA!” moment to catch something slightly off, you might be able to find something. But in my experience, it’s spot on... I haven’t seen anything like blacks showing as green or other weird issues. HDMI switching: Soo easy. You just press a button on the sync-box and it switches instantly to the other inputs. No need to shuffle HDMI cords around, and you can have 4 different devices plugged into the ports. (Only uses one HDMI cord going to your TV, so you can have more devices that aren't associated with the sync-box) What needs work? -The app interface needs some adjustments to make it more user friendly. Some of the customizations I would argue make the product worth using aren't enabled by default. It's not that big of a deal but having to dig around the app is not ideal, just to make it work correctly. I've already had two firmware updates so it seems like they are working on it actively. -Compatibility with streaming devices can be a bit quirky, it doesn’t turn off by default, even with the right settings (I use a Roku). But let me stress: this is not a big deal. I almost didn’t buy it because of one review mentioning this, and honestly, I’m glad I didn’t listen. There’s literally a button on the device to turn it off. Literally. That said, I don’t even recommend getting up to press it—this thing is fully Alexa-compatible. In fact, I’d say Alexa is almost necessary for the full experience. You can turn it on and off, adjust the brightness, and skip using the app altogether (after you set it up). It really ties everything together. What needs "work"? (my tips) -ITS TOO HARSH, EW. Adjust your settings! Make it less bright, tone down saturation, fine tune the colors with the provided adjustments, change the relative brightness, turn on or off the sound effects, change the softness of the sound effects, adjust the distance of the TV from the wall, change the- (do you get my point? it's really adjustable lol) -It doesn't work with my TV! Unfortunately this guy does not work with a smart TV, it needs some sort of HDMI input to intercept. Even though the camera systems aren't as accurate if you aren't willing to use some sort of other device like a roku or streaming box, you'll have to use one of those. Or another TV. -I don't even have a flat wall behind my TV this won't work... This guy is BRIGHT, see my picture and videos, I did a color and video test to demonstrate it. You don't NEED a flat wall behind it, but I'm sure it helps enhance the viewing experience even more. All in all, this product impressed me. The immersion it creates is insane, but honestly? What sets this apart from others is the price. It's unbeatable. The hue system is so much more expensive, govee is on to something with this lineup. Sure, you can always find small things wrong with a product and I'm not claiming it's perfect, nothing good ever is. But don't let others sway you away from choosing this, it's not a "compromise" even though it's cheaper than similar systems. ... show more

  • Good product
Size: 16.3FT for 75"-85" TV
It’s working really good. Easy setup and connection. Under sunlight it’s bright enough, but I got some blinders to enjoy it anytime 😊 I enjoy watching movies with this setup.

  • Halfway to perfect
Size: 11.8FT for 55"-65" TV
Ah, the eternal quest for the perfect TV backlighting – a journey fraught with peril, sticky tape, and the constant fear of toppling your beloved screen. I, too, embarked on this quest, trading in my camera-based Govee system for the sleek, HDMI-powered upgrade. Let's be real, that camera perched atop the TV looked like a tiny, judgmental robot eye. Good riddance. However, my joy was short-lived when I discovered my old light strips had decided to stage a rebellion against the new HDMI box. A full-scale strip removal and reapplication ensued, a delicate operation that required the precision of a brain surgeon and the patience of a saint. Thankfully, no TVs were harmed in the making of this review. Once the dust settled, and the new strips were firmly in place, the result was nothing short of breathtaking. The colors were richer, more vibrant, and shockingly accurate – a significant improvement over the camera system's somewhat "impressionistic" color interpretation. Plus, the added HDMI inputs are a godsend, finally freeing me from the tyranny of constantly switching cables. Now, for the "almost perfect" part. The Achilles' heel of this otherwise stellar system is its input switching. For a device that costs a pretty penny, the lack of a simple, dedicated input button or voice command is baffling. Apparently, some users have opted for the Govee remote, adding to the ever expanding collection of remotes on my table. Instead, I'm forced to navigate the labyrinthine Govee app every time I want to switch sources, a task that feels about as convenient as performing brain surgery with a spork. In short, this HDMI-based Govee light set delivers stunning visuals and expanded connectivity, but its input switching interface leaves much to be desired. If Govee could just throw us a bone and add a simple voice command option compatible with our Smart devices, this would be a solid five-star experience. Until then, it's a glorious, app-dependent four. ... show more

  • Great product!
Size: 11.8FT for 55"-65" TV
Works great on my 65" TV and really makes a huge difference to watchung TV and movies! The effect when gaming is great too... really adds to the immersion. The only issue I have had so far is it takes a little while to go tweak the color correction to make the blue tinge better (but once its done, it really helps), and the lighting can sometimes freeze which needs the box to be powered down and back on again. Minor issues though compared to the great effect the lighting gives! ... show more

  • Big Govee fanboy and what a disappointment this is.
Size: 16.3FT for 75"-85" TV
The media could not be loaded. This actually deserves a one star review for the price point it’s selling for. High hopes for this thing and delivered zero. Everything looks great opening the box, set up is a pain in the you know what considering the strips barely make it onto a 75” tv without using a ton of clips for the bends. Get it all hooked up and it looks pretty good on my Xbox Home Screen. From there it’s a nightmare. Flickering as other reviewers mentioned for dark scenes is dreadful. Cutscene transition from full screen to wide screen is a mess. The sync box doesn’t understand what’s going on and goes haywire; takes about ten seconds for it to catch on. Alright, it’s not great for games so let’s try a show or movie. Again, the flickering is so bad that it’s distracting. The “black bar” option for widescreen movies they created is absolutely useless and just causes erratic flashing lights. Overall for $300, I feel like I got ripped off and Govee for once has to be paying for these lights to get positive reviews. Every YouTuber will recommend them and they’re one of the worst products from Govee I’ve had. My T1 in comparison works way better from four years ago than this garbage. Returning these immediately. ... show more
