Great lamp, little expensive
Great lamp. Very bright

Liking it more as time goes on. adds some subtle motion to a room
At first I wasn't sure about the two visible strips on the sides of the unit when viewing from behind. After a few days I can say I've adjusted and actually have grown to like them. The light overall is great, the led strip is encased in a foggy rubbery plastic which helps the colors blend seamlessly. The app has a ton of options and I'm still figuring it out. The next step will be seeing how it integrates with Home Assistant since it is matter compatible. I've had it 3 days and just bought a second since it seems off-balance with just one in front of the living room.

Good but one disappointment
Very good. Easy to assemble and you get what was described. One disappointment, it does not work on 5G, high speed wireless. That means I can’t use the app.

Good lamp for my home office, a few quirks
Met the bill for what I needed in my home office for extra light. Daylight white gives quite a bit of illumination. Has some quirks in that 1) it doesn't always turn on full brightness (have to tell Alexa 2x) 2) Doesn't react well to rapid commands (need to pause for a few seconds) 3) The base could be a bit sturdier and less wobbly 4) Had to run setup multiple times to get it to connect to my home network 5) generates more heat than I expected 6) Govee app is not totally intuitive (IMO)

Bright idea
Consider me a Govee Fan-Boy. I replaced most every light in my home with Govee’s. I have 4 of these and although the bottom doesn’t add as much as I’d hoped - they’re still great.

Calibration issues.
The lamp/light itself is awesome. Great colors. Really nice looking as well. The reason for 3 stars is because I have the Govee T.V backlight 3. When I connected it in the app with dream view, the colors were not accurate with the backlights. In the app it will have a generic animated picture of a living room with a TV that has colors throughout the screen. It will have teardrop numbers around the room to wear. You match the colors with sections on the light. If you’ve seen the app, you understand but if not, you will when you get it. I tried every combination to try and accurately get the right section of my TV for the lamp. If the right side of my T.V was more of a solid color the lamp would match them. Not all of them though. Like whites would look reddish or yellowish. Also if the side of the T.V had let’s say blue lights in the top right and some white and or another color midway down or in the bottom corner, the lamp would not display color accurately to match the backlights. I calibrated the backlights pretty accurately prior. But the lamp only has the option to change saturation but it will also change the backlights saturation as well. It won’t allow you to separately change it to try and match the backlights when using dream view. Which is the only way to use it with movies. Outside of dream view, you can have just about any color and change the tone and or saturation. Now this is just my troubles. I’ve seen videos for people have it accurately match their back lights. There’s not many videos to wear. I can see how they picked the sections, but I tried the best that I could. The two photos show one with the lamp and how it doesn’t match the other photo show that my backlights are accurately calibrated with my T.V

Use it every day
Love it, and I use it daily in multiple areas of my home. I just wish the app allowed for me to use it without giving it permissions every time.
