I got this e-bike for my wife just over a year ago or 7. October 2024. Assembly was easy and bike was ready to ride in less than 30 minutes. Gears have never had to be adjusted but brake cables set in a little so after 2-3 rides I had to adjust the brakes. The weight of the bike is only about 45 pounds with the battery, so it is easy to fit on a bike rack and to hang to my wall mounts in the garage and it is easy to ride without battery power. Now after one year the battery is still like new and range is just over 30 miles running the bike at speed settings 2 or 3 (10 and 15MPH aprx). In august 2025 the bike stopped working. I contacted the Gotrax customer service and right away they sent a replacement display unit which was easy to replace. That did not fix the problem and right away and Gotrax sent a replacement controller unit and that took just over 2 weeks to arrive. Lydia at Gotrax customer service was very helpful and sent DIY videos how to replace parts. After reading few of the reviews I wanted to point out that when you buy an e-bike, or anything for that matter, from a small company you have to be self sufficient to DIY any repairs under warranty. Don’t expect a small business to have nation wide warranty repair service. I support small businesses and bike repairs are an easy DIY task especially when you have a video to follow. I do recommend this e-bike for anyone who needs a city e-bike or one to venture on the smoother bike trails. After one year of use and over 1000miles it is still running like new, battery at full capacity, tires good, gear shifting great and front suspension fork still smooth and its low weight makes it easy to handle. All of this at a very favorable price point.

I really like this bike so far! It came very well packed and was very easy to assemble. I have only had a few rides with it but so far very impressed. The bike is very well made and is very easy to ride. It seems very fast for me. I only use the lowest gear and it is plenty fast. I also live on a hill and it climbs it very well in higher gears. The pedal assist and throttle are very smooth. Battery life seems very good. I had a couple of issues but Lydia in customer service has been terrific in addressing them. Lydia is very responsive to email support questions and has been very helpful! Overall I highly recommend this bike so far. Its a lot of fun.

I absolutely love the look, feel, and ride of this bike. I bought it because it was the lightest ebike I could find at this price point. I love that the battery is easily removable for indoor charging. The bike is sturdy and the handlebar and seet hieghts easily adjustable to allow others to ride. The pedals are strong grippy metal. I don't need to wear my bike shoes or add shoe cups as my feet stay firmly in place when peddling. I bought this bike because one of my favorite roots has significant hills in either direction. I love that this bike pedals with ease even with no power. I typically try to use the pedal assist mode only when needed to help me strengthen my biking muscles. Having the extra assist to get up, those hills is a dream. I did need to buy a new bike rack for towing as the bike does weigh about fifty pounds and is a step through model. I have taken the bike out on three good trips before having to recharge the battery. I would recommend the bike to anyone. Tip: my bike came with a light which I could not figure out how to turn on and then realized if you press and hold the up Button it turns on.

I am glad to have this electric bike. Assembly was straightforward, and I had it ready to room about half an hour. The build quality is solid, and everything feels well made and reliable. The ride itself is smooth, and it handles bumps and uneven roads comfortably. It is easy to adjust how much power I want while riding, and the speed system shifts smoothly. The bike feels stable, responsive, and easy to control.

I’ve had my GoTRAX Dolphin bike for about one month and it performs well. I do mostly pedal assist or no power as I primarily bike for exercise. I’m 6’4” tall and weight about 215 and I fit nicely on this bike. I like the seat high, which as a senior made it difficult without a step-through model. As shown in the photo I’ve added a few things: (1) Cross-bar Adaptor to fit on my cars bike rack, (2) Rear cargo rack (from an old bike), (3) New Bell (the one that comes with the bike is worthless), (4) Water bottle holder, (5) Cable Lock, (6) Phone mount holder (I use a Speedometer app on my phone), (7) Padded seat cover. Those extra items add about $100 to the purchase price, but I still feel it was a good buy. I’ve now had the GoTrax Dolphin ebike for about 18 months. Battery still works fine, along with the rest of the bike. During the first year I traveled about 1800 miles, and plan to reach about 2000 miles in the second year. I use an app on my cell phone to record both speed and miles. When you order online you should realize you may have trouble getting local service. I’ve had two flat tires (on the rear wheel). I found a local bike shop that agreed to do the repair, but it took some convincing.

When it breaks, Gotrax will ghost you and you will have wasted nearly $600. DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE!!! This bike worked for us for about 6 months. Then it went dead and I emailed customer support. They started sending me parts to install. A new interface, a battery, a motor controller, a motor plug interface. Sometimes sent the wrong parts and we had to wait for another replacement. Every time they send a part it takes 2 weeks to get it. After 3 months and (I kid you not) 30 emails back and forth, I sent them a message (mind you still within the 1 year warranty period) that I think it's time for them to send me a new bike. That's when they stopped responding completely. My son missed the whole summer on his bike. Just know that when this thing fails you are on your own. You HAVE to go through Gotrax for help so that is your only recourse. What a piece of junk. 6 months of use and already a brick. Do not buy this piece of trash; get a better product!!
