I have been shopping for an improved spotting scope for target practice to replace my low quality old Bushnell trophy scope. I was prepared to pay up to $1000.00. I really don't need to see miles away. I will only use it for target practice up to 200 yards away for rifle and about 70 yards for crossbow. All the utube videos said to buy expensive scopes for the high quality. I came across this scope and noticed the high reviews. Also free returns. So I gave it a try thinking it would be returned because I didn't another low quality scope. You know the old saying, you get what you pay for. Well I received it the next day and mounted it on my Manfrotto tripod. I was really suprised, this is not a low quality scope. It has a very clear, large view, and easy to see through with the large eyepiece for my old eyes. At 200 yards, I could read the registration on a trailered snowmobile. The Iphone mount worked perfect making it really easy to view. A spring closure for the phone would have been nicer than a screw closer but not a dealbreaker. I did have to add a quick release plate with an Acra-type base which screwed into the existing scope base to accomidate my tripod, but I had one on hand. The soft carry case isn't bad, it's padded well, would have prefered a hard case. Not a dealbreaker either. My only use will be for target practice and this scope fits the bill. It will fit in the Case Club Pre-Cut Carry Case to Fit GoSky 20-60x80 HD Spotting Scope (Base Model). A very good value for my needs. It's a keeper. ... show more

Better than I had anticipated!pleased with this purchase! The clarity and sharpness of the photographs are simply remarkable. That same evening, we dashed outside to gaze at the sky! The tripod is simple to assemble and operate. I adore that it has carrying bags and is incredibly light for effortless transfers. We give it a 10 out of 10! I don't really write product reviews. I bought this one and am really happy with it. I wasn't sure, was looking at a bunch of more name brand scopes, but decided on this one b/c there really weren't any bad reviews. This delivers exactly what I was looking for - crystal clear views, the exact range I wanted, micro focus adjust, and a bonus zoom. I am so happy.
