This engine support makes it extremely easy and pretty safe to do automotive work on your engine, engine mounts and transmission. The support bar is very thick metal, very adjustable for the car you are working on and extremely heavy. The paint on it is very nice looking, it came with all the accessories needed for my projects. The only thing that brought this down a star is that the welds looked a little armature but other then that, solid product.

This thing did what I needed it to with no problems. Its for sure great for the DIY guy. It is well made, and seemed to work perfectly. But I would not say this is everyday shop use quality. If I was running a repair shop, or working as a full time tech this would one would not be my go to option. But it will get you by for a while if you need it to. I am DIY guy and do repairs out of my home shop for extra cash. so this is perfect for me. I will likely use it less that 50 times in my life. And will not have any problems with that I am sure. For the price this is a great tool. The more expensive ones do have a bit more adjustment to them, and will last longer in a shop environment, but this one is well made, and will do 95% of cars out there with no problems. If your a DIY guy like me, or run a small shop where this is not going to be used a lot then this is the tool for you!

Great product for the price. I needed to find a bolt that was small enough to fit through the chain and was strong enough to hold up the engine. I also needed to find some strong washers that would ensure the bolt and/or nut would not be pulled through the chain as well. They provide some nuts and washers, however, I had to find the additional bolt, nut, and washers that I used to attach the chain to the engine brace. Very pleased with this engine support and would purchase it again.

Subaru transmissions are very long and also they are un-equal in weight. They tend to rotate when lifting from the bottom. This support bar can be used at the strut mounts to lift the transmission by the pitch stop bracket on top of the transmission. That way the trans is lifted from a center point, while you use a floor jack or transmission jack underneath. The included chain is a bit too small to use the Subaru pitch stop bolt, but 5/16" chain from your local Hazard Fraught will work perfectly. It makes the process much easier for a home gamer, since you need to lift and align the trans from the underside. This is the extra set of hands you really need.

I used this support bar on a late model BMW 5 Series (E60) in part to perform a twin turbo upgrade. The bar was necessary because the R&R procedure for the turbos required that the sub-frame be dropped. The bar was easy to setup, and worked flawlessly in supporting the N54 engine / drivetrain. It is well built, and the included hardware is of good quality. Just be certain its overall length and weight limitations apply to your specific needs or application before purchasing. All in all I am very satisfied with this product, and I'm certain you'll be too.

Used this to keep the engine on my 2007 Mazda 3 2.0L Sedan held up for over a week while I did the clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, both front CV axles, lower control arms, and brakes/ rotors. This device worked perfect and for once didn't have a jack in my way while working under the car to support the engine also didn't have to worry about damaging the oil pan from jacking up on it. Would highly recommend this is needing an engine support and doing long term work.
