  • My new best friend!
I love this tool. I have used it for various projects to include; installing a new cabinet, holding up a new kitchen sink, holding up the heavy garbage disposal which made the install super easy, jacking up a heavy piece of furniture to allow me to place sliders underneath to move, etc… I have another construction jack and 2 telescoping jacks for higher items however this Dewalt is on a whole different level. I was skeptical at first as I’m not a huge Dewalt fan… or at least I wasn’t til now. This Jack is extremely well built and is very sturdy. You can use it freestanding as is or bolt it down permanently or perhaps to a cart of some sort if you want given it has the mounting holes on the base already. I’ve used it as is, free standing. The design makes it very easy to adjust in either direction, up or down. You can use the handle to elevate it to the desired position pump by pump…or it has a release push down button that if you hold down allows you to move it up or down quickly at once to the desired position. So far you’re probably saying to yourself, so what, the one I currently have does the same thing which I’m sure it does. But here is the feature that made me put this tool in the must have category if you’re the type that works by themselves a lot. On most if not all other jacks of this sort including the longer telescoping ones, once you elevate the jack to where you need it and apply pressure, you have to lift up the release tab in order to relieve the pressure. Ok, that works but if you need to make minor adjustments as you position the jack, it is very difficult to do so with precision. Or worse yet, if you have had one of these jacks under strong pressure while holding something up then you know it’s sometimes very difficult or almost impossible to release the pressure using the tab manually, at least not without additional tools for leverage. That’s where this jack shines as the release tab is very easy to press down (not a pull up) AND you can actually pump that tab as well to release and lower the jack precisely for your exact needs. If there are any knocks on this tool I just don’t see them but nitpicking I wish the blades (the 2 metal pieces which actually go under the object you’re lifting), were a bit longer. It would make jobs just a bit easier however the blades do have holes in them so you can add extensions if you need to (not included with the jack). The price is more expensive than similar jacks but when you consider the quality and functionality, it is well worth it. As with any great tool, it’s an investment and this is no different. You’ll be glad you ponied up the extra cash. ... show more

  • Powerful, Precise, and Perfect for Panel Alignment – Real Job Use
This tool is extremely powerful and very precise. Although it’s marketed as a construction jack, I personally use it as a mechanical “extra leg.” I run a furniture installation company, and this tool allows me to do jobs that would normally require another person. In the photo I attached, I’m using it vertically against a wall, not on the floor. We were installing three wall panels that needed to be pushed together evenly so another installer could secure them with drywall screws. The gap was very small (about half an inch), and doing this by hand was almost impossible because of the force required. This tool allowed us to push the third panel into the other two with full control, closing the panels uniformly on both sides so everything lined up correctly. What makes this tool much better than cheaper versions is the dual release system: • One button for soft, precise release • One button for fast release You can raise it smoothly using your foot while watching a bubble level or laser, and then fine-tune the pressure exactly where you need it. That level of control makes a huge difference in professional installations. The build quality is excellent, and the strength combined with precision makes it far superior to cheaper alternatives. I highly recommend it. 5 out of 5 stars. Note: “Photo shows vertical wall use for panel alignment, not floor lifting.” ... show more

  • Better than other construction jacks, worth the price
Bought two of these to help with various projects around the house. Haven't used them to install a door yet, but they were already very helpful in leveling out and reinforcing our sagging wooden gate! These are way better than the Irwin construction jacks, because you can use them hands-free by gently stepping on the handle to raise it. Plus the lowering button is also on the top side, making it much easier to access. They stay put under heavy loads, and they feel very durably constructed. They're expensive, but they feel like they're going to last a very long time and come in handy for a variety of jobs. I'm glad I bought them. ... show more

  • Very Handy Tool
Great product. Easy to use and operates very smoothly. I have used it a few times to lift heavy objects and it has worked like a charm. I wish I had purchased one a long time ago. Not cheap, but MUCH cheaper than the co-pays and other expenses related to previous back and neck surgeries.

  • This is the Best version available!!
So I’ve tried a couple other cheaper versions of this and they broke too easily. This Dewalt version is super stout. Much stronger, heavier, and the mechanical handle is on top so you can work with your feet if need be. It’s on a whole different level than the other ones I’ve looked at and bought. And there’s a lower function for incremental lowering. ... show more

  • Saved my back
I had wanted to buy construction jacks for some time, but I wasn't really sure I would have much use for them and they are pricey. Well, the time came to do some painting inside my house. I was going to need to move some heavy furniture and wasn't sure my wife and I could do it ourselves (we are 63). The last time we moved furniture, I threw my back out. It is always awkward to reach down and lift up the sofa bed (and other big items) to get a furniture slider underneath. This was the perfect reason to try the Dewalt construction jacks. I bought two of them and some furniture movers with wheels. It was so easy to jack up the furniture and slide the furniture movers underneath the sofa bed. Then I just pushed the furniture around the room like a rolling cart. Worth every penny! The jacks worked well and are well built. I also like the option to lower the jack slowly or press the rapid release button. I have also found many other situations where they have come in handy. Just bought a rolling base to add to my table saw. The jacks will come in handy to lift the saw (240 lbs) so I can get the new base under it. ... show more
