I got this pool skimmer because my old skimmer wouldn't pick up all of the finer debris at the top of my pool even on the second or third pass. This skimmer is definitely a step up from the super basic skimmer that came with our pool, but only slightly better. It came with what looks like dual layers that I thought would pick up the floating stuff more easily, but I quickly noticed that it wasn't attached at the bottom. Not sure if this was on purpose or not, but again its better than the one I initially got from the pool manufacture so I decided to keep it anyway. The tab at the bottom to help empty the content of the skimmer is ultimately why I decided to keep it. It was a good value for the money as it was on sale, full price I am not sure I would have picked this product up. After a month of using this and getting annoyed by it not picking up all of the really smaller debris like the tiny flowers that are just blooming all over the place here, I am strongly looking at biting the bullet and just getting a robotic skimmer of some kind like the Betta SE or something that will attach to my pool side cleaner. Leaning more towards the Betta SE and a robotic pool vacuum I just found and started doing research on. ... show more

I have to purchase a new net every year. This is the best one I’ve ever used. I’ve had it half of the summer and it’s still in perfect shape. Bugs don’t cling to it like the other nets I’ve had so no worry of them eating holes in it. The weight helps it to dump out easier. I thought it was defective when I first used it because a piece of the netting isn’t sewn to the rest. That’s part of the design so no worries. ... show more

LOVE this net! I was wondering what the little flap is inside the net but it is fine. I think it acts like a “weight” to keep the net stable in the water. We also bought a new pole as well and it’s just beautiful. Highly recommend.

The net is well made. I found that the net is very tight mesh which creates very high drag using in the pool. I would not use this for top skimming or light debris as it’s heavy and is better suited for bottom use.

This net feels very sturdy unlike most nets I’ve bought. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was that the lip on the front doesn’t have an angle to easily scoop leaves or rocks off the bottom of the pool. That’s not a deal breaker for me, but it was a nice feature on some of the cheaper made ones. I’ll keep using this one because of its strength. ... show more
