I’m not going to be a snooty Judy here, people. The temp control works well enough that I can make really good pour over coffee, really good French press coffee, and great bong coffee (Japanese syphon). We don’t drink a ton of tea, but what we do drink hasn’t been ruined by hot as balls water. How fast is it? Fast. If you’re looking for a new one, this is probably faster than your old one. If it’s for someone else- who cares? Anyway, it’s nice addition to the coffee bar and it’s sleek, tactile, and it just works well. Just make sure you know how much water it holds.

I'll start my review with the packaging. When I first received the box there was a small hole in the outside of the kettle box, but that did not affect the product inside. The kettle is packaged very nicely and securely inside of the box, and the goose neck has a small rubber stopper over the tip to ensure it does not a damaged. The box included the kettle, the lid, the base, and an instruction manual. This is my first time using an electric kettle, so the instruction manual is a big help. One thing I did notice was the outside of the box and the instruction manual have quite a few grammatical errors. This has no effect on the quality and use of the kettle, but it did initially have me concerned over the quality. Over this past week of using it, thankfully, that concern has been dismissed. When you first set it up you have to boil water two or three times in the kettle. I decided to time how long it took to boil from temperature of the faucet to max of 212°. I'm not sure if the starting water temperature was read correctly because the boil time was approximately the same even though the initial water temperature was registered hotter after each boil. See below for those three rounds: 1. 73-212 4 min 5 sec 2. 89-212 4 min 19 sec 3. 93-212 4 min 17 sec When the kettle has reached your desired temperature it beeps loudly to notify you it's done. At no point during those three rounds did the handle ever get warm, and the handle is spaced far enough from the kettle that there is very low likelihood you could touch the kettle and burn yourself. There is a max fill line inside of the kettle to make sure that you do not overfill it. I would have liked to see a minimum film line because the instructions state you cannot put less than 0.3L (approximately 1.26 U.S. cups) in the kettle when you boil water. I also timed how long would take to boil 0.3L of water in the kettle versus on my electric stove. Kettle 2 min 5 sec Stove 6 min 30 sec The kettle is definitely much more time efficient than boiling in a small pot. For storage, the kettle does not take up much room, and the power cord can be wrapped internally under the base. There is just no place to store the plug itself inside the base. I have so far greatly enjoyed using the kettle, and I'm very happy I made the purchase. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for an authentically pleasing and effective product.

Our old regular electric kettle was long in the tooth, starting to break and my wife, the coffee aficionado, said it was not good for pour overs. Our son, the coffee commenter, told me we needed a gooseneck model, though I didn’t understand the difference. First, this kettle is well made and looks great. The kettle is metal and the base is plastic. The buttons and switches have a quality feel. Unlike our old kettle that had only on and off, this one allows you to set the specific temperature which is important for the perfect pour over. There’s also a warmer setting to keep your water hot. Way more flexible. My wife showed me the real trick of the gooseneck four pourovers. Because of the gooseneck, the water comes out slower so it allows for a very controlled pour. She is absolutely thrilled with every aspect of the kettle and it works great for me to make my simple tea. We’re very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

What I love about this tea kettle: - Easy to use - Cute color - Heats water quickly - Shows current temp as water is heating up - Beeps when ready, but isn't an annoying pitch/pattern - Compact and lightweight There isn't anything I would change for my needs, but it is worth noting it doesn't hold a ton of water. If I fill it all the way to the fill line, I only get enough water for about 2 drinks (depending on the size of the mugs).

Just as the headline stated. It's an all-around great product. It looks nice, it heats the water quickly. I can adjust the temperature of the water if desired (which I sometimes do for different teas). It turns itself off when the temperature is reached (unlike heating kettles over a stove). It can keep the temperature warm for a few minutes, so you don't have to rush over to it once it's heated up. I love it!

The media could not be loaded. The kettle works as advertised. I needed a new kettle for my pour overs and came across this kettle while browsing. I liked the green color with wood colored handles (the handle is made of plastic) so I ended up buying it and so far it’s been great. It looks good and operate - I like the temperature control knob since it makes it easy to change the temperature without having to press any buttons. One thing I learned while using (since I didn’t read the manual) was that I need to press the keep warm button if I want the kettle to hold the temperature. Otherwise, once the desired temperature is reached the kettles beeps (which can be muted) and stop heating. I wish the handles were real wood but at this price point I’m happy with the plastic ones as they look almost real.
