GOOLOO Store: GOOLOO GT TRUCK PRO 10,000A Jump Starter, PD65W Fast-Charge 64,000mAh LiFePO4 Battery This is perhaps the most powerful automotive jump starter that I have ever seen. The manufacturer, GOOLOO, says that this product is capable of providing a 10,000A jump start capability from it 64,000mAh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) rechargeable battery. This product conforms with the PD65W charging standard for charging the product’s 64,000mAh internal battery. The PD65W charging standard is also observed when the product is used to charge other devices such a cell phones, computers, tire inflators, or any other device that can be charged via a USB-C charging connection. The product also has a USB-A power output port for charging those devices that require such power such as older cell phones. The product is supplied with a single port PD65W-compliant wall charger, a USB-C to USB-C charging cable, a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and a User Manual. With this jump starter product, the required jumper cables are permanently attached to the product and are not a separate item. This jump starter product is large and heavy when compared to most other jump starters on the market. This is due to the extreme capacity of this jump starter product. This product weighs 7.71 pounds (3.5 Kg) and measure 9.64” x 8.66” x 5.90” (24.5cm x 22cm x 15cm). The jump starter is capable of operating from -40°F to 140°F (-40°C to 60°C). This jump starter utilizes permanently installed jumper cables that have built-in cable storage pylons and clamp sites on the back of the product. Additionally, they have a much longer lifespan than Lithium-ion batteries and are capable of undergoing 2,000 to 5,000 charging cycles over their lifetime and often times lasting ten or more years before they must be replaced. The down-side of LiFePO4 batteries over Li-ion batteries are that energy density of LiFePO4 batteries is lower, about one-half that of Li-ion batteries making the LiFePO4 batteries heavier per unit capacity. Additionally, the LiFePO4 batteries have nominal voltage of 3.2V versus the nominal voltage of Li-ion batteries of 3.7V. Finally, LiFePO4 batteries have a much wider operating temperature range, most particularly on the lower end of the range. Lithium-ion batteries have very poor performance in cold temperatures. Just ask any EV owner in Minnesota in January. This jump starter is capable of being recharged completely in just 3.7-hours using the included PD65W-compliant single-port charger. This jump starter with its LiFePO4 power source is capable of 24-month storage without needing to be periodically recharged and the product is said to have a five-year lifespan. That said, I would bet for the average user the lifespan will be much longer. I suspect that the five-year prediction is for when the product is used in a commercial application. This jump starter has a number of features that work well with its designed functions. The jump starter has a powerful LED lamp built into the unit. It is capable of a steady, bright 400 Lumen illumination of the work area, the light can display an attention getting strobe pattern, and it can display the internationally recognized SOS-pattern, if so desired. The jump starter is capable of charging various devices compliant with the USB-C charging port standards using the PD65W charging protocol. The product can also supply power to various devices via the USB-A power port at power-levels appropriate for the USB-A charging standards. It can also supply 12VDC power via its 12V power-port (aka: cigarette lighter) power outlet. So, if you have devices that can accept 12V power via a cigarette lighter-type of plug, they may be plugged directly into the jump starter for power. The manufacturer states that the GOOLOO GT TRUCK PRO has ten built-in protection technologies to ensure safe and protected operation of the device. The protections include: • Over-Current Protection • Over-Charge Protection • Reverse-Polarity Protection • Short-Circuit Protection • AI Software Protection • Spark-Proof Protection • Reverse Charge Protection • Overload Protection • Over-Load Protection • High and Low Temperature Protection When I received this product, I tried to charge the product’s battery but found that the product was 100% fully charged. I have never seen this before for a Lithium-ion battery powered product. Those products are usually shipped with about a 50% charge. Since this product is powered via the LiFePO4 batteries, there evidently is no issue or risk in shipping the product with fully charged batteries. I then have used this product to power my laptop via the USB-C power port. I used it for more than six hours and the displayed capacity only dropped a couple of percent. This product has a very big capacity. I am very happy with this product. If you have a vehicle with a larger engine, a diesel engine, or agricultural equipment that needs to be jump started, particularly in colder weather, this is the jump starter for you. I will shortly be creating a custom-made carry case to transport and store this product and its accessories since it will not be being used on a daily basis.
