It works way better than the cheap one from the local box store. It will not charge a completely dead battery, you may have to give it a quick jump from another battery before charging from completely dead.

This charger did not make it past 4 uses. I used it today to charge a 45ah battery pack. After an hour, I noticed that the charger had smoke coming from it. I looked at the display to find it not working and the charger was extremely hot. I unplugged it and set it outside where it continued to smolder. After the charger cooled down, I took it apart and found one of the capacitors had exploded. Part of the capacitor was stuck to the back of the charger when I took it off. I do not recommend this charger. Find another brand that isnโ€™t sold by Amazon. Chinese junkโ€ฆ UPDATE 10/03/2022 The vendor reached out to me directly and addressed the issue I had with their product. They sent me a brand new charger as the other was still under warranty. Iโ€™ve adjusted my rating based on their customer service and their promptness to rectify the situation. Further updates to come as the new charger gets used. UPDATE 11/12/22 I finally put the new charger to use. After 20 minutes of charging my battery pack the unit did not get as hot to the touch as the first one would have. Iโ€™m pleased with the outcome, and Iโ€™m grateful that the customer service department reached out to me. ... show more

I've been a Noco user until recently when a jump box failed after 3-4 uses. They refused to warranty it because it was over a year old so I decided to try Gooloo products. No problems with these chargers and they carry a long warranty.

The media could not be loaded. For years I had problems with my cars I did not drive much draining the battery with all the electronic wizardry that runs all the time, once your battery in your car is drained completely, it cannot be charged back up or at least the several I had could not, so I had to buy new ones which got expensive fast. A friend of mine told me "just get a trickle charger" which I had never heard of but it was designed to do exactly what I needed. It automatically charges up your battery when it drops below a certain voltage (this is NOT a jumper or charger to bring it back from the dead) and for the 4-5 years I have been using one it works perfectly. The one I had died and they replaced it with a new type that does not do as well so I went shopping and since my lawnmower was having the same problem I looked for one that would also charge 6V batteries and this is the model I choose and glad I did. First of all the readout shows you exactly where your charge is at (the old one was a red or green light), it can do my car and my mower and easy to use, I use the clamps for my mower but I used the battery ring ends clips mounted semi-permanently so I can keep it charged and all I have to do to drive it is raise the hood pull the disconnecting plug and I am ready to go. Not only is this versatile in all the different batteries it charges, but it also comes with all of the extreas you need to use it for several options. Like, battery harness that had a fuse and cap so you don't need to put alligator clips on, just hook it up.
