I have purchased two of these thermostats. One for my apartment and one for my parents house. Both of these thermostats were easy to install and work great! I especially love the dual thermostat mode.... where you can set a range of temperature... For example... if the temperature drops below 70 degrees kick on the Heat... If the temperature rises above 73 degrees kick on the Air Conditioner. This is especially useful for apartments/houses with poor insulation and the temperature constantly fluctuates throughout the week. (My apartment windows don't have a UV film on them so during the day the temperature rises to nearly 80 degrees even in the winter. Rather than having to constantly adjust the thermostat... the nest knows to automatically kick in AC and Heat when needed.... I highly recommend. ... show more

Replaced and old heat pump thermostat with this and should have done it way sooner. Link with the app and it's an easy install. It also works Great!!

This is the third house that we have installed this product. Besides gifting one to our granddaughters for their homes. However, the last one purchased for the heat/air system, that is place, is more complicated and not as easy to use.

I have two of these, each in a different vacation rental. They are super easy to use and the fact that I can control them remotely make it so I save money. Also, if my guests can’t figure out how to use it (rare but some guests are scared to touch anything they’re not familiar with) I can set the thermostat from my phone for them.     • Works well, but too smart
I wanted a programmable WiFi thermostat. This works, but obviously was crippled to make the higher-end model better. The phone app, Google Home was beyond frustrating with it trying to do "Smart Things" and take control from me. The later versions are better, but I finally just turned off all the Smart functions and I'm happy. ... show more

Easy install, nice looking and good price. The only down side is the app. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not fan of the app at all. Note: If you're current thermostat has separate RH and RC wires, this thermostat will not work for you. If your current thermostat has a jumper from RH to RC, it will work. You simply eliminate the jumper and hook the like colors to the thermostat, and voila. ... show more

I like this over the learning thermostat for the price. however, make sure that your current connections are similar to this nest or your AC unit will not work perfectly. For mine, it was fine for the most part.
