Easy to set up following the google home app (even with electrical experience it is straightforward) and works perfectly with my transformer that powers my chime and measures at 18-20V 10VA. The angled plate works well to hide wires and the wire adapters. If not using the angled plate, you have to ensure you can hide the wires in the wall or else it won’t sit flush. Setup ran perfectly after I connected everything. Depending on your wifi connection you may get delayed notifications, but the event history is always available anyway. Without a subscription you get to see the first 10 seconds of every video event. High quality video, good frame rate, super excellent FOV. Pretty awesome overall, 5/5 stars. ... show more

Works fine, also in the EU. Great upgrade for the old nest doorbell wired edition! Don’t need to replace the electrical wiring and accessories. Just rip and replace. The view angle is much wider, and the smart intelligence on finding specific clips is a huge improvement. Although you need a subscription for this feature, this is a huge security benefit. There are some new sound themes that gives you the experience you really have new hardware and software. If you have the money, just go for it! ... show more

I am very satisfied with this doorbell. It was simple to install and integrates seamlessly with the Google Home app. The video and night vision quality are excellent. I've been a Nest product owner for over 10 years and love Nest. Google ruined everything. The new Gen 3 doorbell is proof of that. Sure, the resolution is an improvement which is a plus, but the trade off is Google's creepy AI algorithms monitoring your every move (literally). The install of this thing is awful. The engineers that designed that microscopic locking screw at the top have clearly never installed it themselves. Lastly, If you've been a longtime Nest app user (like me), the new doorbell won't work on it EVEN THO the freakin' thing is still called "Nest". This means, you have to move eveything over to Google Home and ditch Nest if you want each camera's and mobile app's full functionality. For those of you that know nothing about how these huge corporations have completely hijacked all your private data and use it without your consent, and/or don't care - then sure, you'll like this thing. Lastly, I bought it because my original Nest Hello doorbell finally died and I was curious about the 2K resolution. Will I keep the doorbell? Yes (for now), but may eventually move towards a better industry product like Doorbird or wait until Alarm.com comes out with a 2K doorbell. ... show more

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Video Quality and Features — but Pricey Subscription I recently upgraded to the Google Nest Doorbell (Wired, 3rd Gen), and I’m genuinely impressed with how well it performs. The 2K video quality is crisp, night vision is clear, and the two-way audio works flawlessly for quick chats with delivery drivers or visitors. Integration with Google Home is seamless, and I really like the live view and smart alerts, which are faster and more reliable than previous generations. The only downside — and the reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 — is the high subscription cost for the Nest Aware plan. You need it to unlock many of the advanced features like event history and intelligent detection, which makes the total setup quite expensive in the long run. Overall, it’s an excellent smart doorbell with premium performance and build quality — just be prepared for the ongoing subscription cost. ... show more

This Nest wired doorbell is awesome! After three failed tries with the Ring doorbell I was about to give up on all of them. But I gave this one a try, only because I like the Nest Gen. 3 thermostat so much, and boy am I happy I did. It disconnected from the router the first day, and since then it has been perfect. The button on the Ring was junk, this one is light years better. The clarity on the camera is terrific, a d the event tracking rocks. WAY easier to install than the Ring. In every facet it far outshines the Ring. I wasted a year on that Ring and I'm never going back. Nest rocks! ... show more
