Was easy to assemble. Line up the two parts and put into place. I put a flat round corian cutting board (leftover from projects) in the bottom before filling with cat litter. That keeps the bottom from getting scratched and makes scooping the litter a breeze. I threw out the fake decorative grass. Will replace that with stones. I was too concerned my cats would eat it and get sick. The plant isn't that great but if you fluff it out, it looks halfway decent. Of course it still lets some odor out of the front opening, but I scoop daily so no problem for us. I don't see any sense in the top filter. Any dust will just come out of the front opening. Our older male cat likes to stand and pee/spray sometimes, so this litter box is the perfect solution for him. This was the only box I found (after reading reviews and researching) where the pee hitting the back wall will run down into the box and not sit in the groove where the two pieces come together. The litter tracking is much less than with our old box and that's definitely a plus! The material of the litter box is a bit flimsy - could be thicker. Once together and filled it is stable enough to not fall apart or tip. Overall I like the litter box, think it's a bit overpriced for what you're getting but can still recommend it. ... show more

I love everything about this litter box. Roomy enough for my 15+ pound kitty. Has cut litter tracking by at least 90%. Attractive enough to have in the bedroom, sturdy & easy to clean. And Seamus took to it immediately. Win/win….

I never buy anything online without a lot of thought and research. I was in between buying this, or buying one of those furniture cabinets with boxes inside. I decided on this because it was a lot less expensive and takes up less room. I've been looking at this for awhile and read a lot of reviews about it, both good and bad. Here's my feedback: GOOD: - my BIG cats (15lbs) fit in it great! It is so much easier for them than the "jumbo" sized box we used before. - suprizingly looks good (I was expecting it to look cheap because the material is cheap, but it's not bad!) - super easy to keep clean. (wide openning lets me scoop easily, dumping litter out and then soap/water is a quick clean overall - affordable!!!! - works anywhere (doesn't take up much space, can angle openning in any direction so you can change your mind where to put it, unlike the furniture boxes) - NO ODOR: I've had it for a few weeks and it's been great! I have two cats, it's my only litter box, and NO SMELL. I can't imagine why reviewers had problems with odor unless they ignore the box for a week? I don't know. No problems here! -SUPER FAST shipping from amazon. free with over $25 purchase, and it came in 2 days! I was pleasantly shocked :) BAD: (not really bad but mentionable) - unable to use litter bags (unless you want them to show) not really a prob because easy to clean(see above) - after removing from shipping packaging the leaves take FOREVER to uncoil and straighten out. It recommends using a steamer and if i had one it would have made life easier! - some reviewers complain it's hard to line up the top and bottom grooves. It's not "clip 'n go" easy, it takes a few seconds, but it really doesnt take that much effort or skill to put the top on the bottom people! I don't ever write reviews, but thought I'd leave comments about this because I was soooo on the fence buying it, but am SOO happy I did. Hope this helps! ... show more

    • Good litter box but annoying to put top on.

This looks great, is large, and my cats use it. It’s easy to clean with the large opening. I have reusable liners that make a complete litter change easy. But it is a real pain to line up the top and bottom portions to put it together. Honestly it’s aggravating, enough so that I only give it 4 stars. It can be done of course but it really should be easier. I have another brand of litter box that is like this and the lid is easy to put on. My other similar litter box is a bit heavier plastic so I hope this one will last as I feel like if I were to drop this for any reason the plastic might break. However I will just keep this in mind. All in all it was $30 less than the other one we have and this will do the job and my cats use it, it looks great, and it’s easy to clean. ... show more

ONE MONTH UPDATE: Our cat still loves using this litter box. He has stopped messing with the moss at the top of the plant and the amount of litter on the floor has greatly reduced. We’ve had no more accidents in the house, he really loves this and it’s been very easy to clean. This is so much more aesthetically pleasing than just having a litter box. It is bigger than it looks, it’s a little larger than the plain store litter box I was using before. Our cat is 3 years old so he’s a pretty full size and he started using it the same day I set it up with no problem. It was so easy to put it together, took me like 5 minutes. I was worried because I saw some other reviews say that it was difficult to get the top and bottom pieces to line up but I think that is a problem with delivery because they ship it in one clear plastic BAG only so if your delivery driver is not careful and bangs it up, I think that’s why some people’s either top or bottom pieces were misshapen. Luckily our delivery person was very careful with it and set up was a breeze. Our cat did make a mess with the decorative grass stuff around the base of the plant, but I guess he got bored with it because it’s been a week and he only did it once. I really like the look of the plant, some of the leaves are folded over where they shouldn’t be but the instructions said you can use a clothes steamer to fix them if it’s a problem for you. Unfortunately this won’t stop your cat from kicking litter out if he loves doing that like mine, but it greatly reduced the amount. The price is decent, especially compared to others. Best price for this style and great sleek look! Large box… I only hope it contains the smell… we will see. I did buy the liner for easy of cleaning. Very easy to assembly. It fits together fine and seems sturdy. Not sure why other reviews say otherwise. No issues there.
