I bought both the basic unit, and after measuring the EMFs, bought the zero-EMF unit. They seem to be of high quality, and work well, with three independently controllable zones (bottom mat and two upper sections). I like hot saunas, and they heat up nicely (with the basic unit heating slightly more quickly than the zero-EMF unit). I use them on 80 on a scale of 90. I measured the EMFs for both units. The basic unit has a very high 50 mG (above 4 mG is considered unsafe for long-term exposure in some countries), with some peak locations that are even higher. Also, the power supply for the basic unit emits very high EMFs. The zero-EMF unit really is just about zero, with barely measurable electromagnetic radiation. Also, the zero-EMF power supply emits virtually nothing. The sauna is long enough for a 6-ft person. Its diameter is not very large, though. It's significantly smaller than some professional dome saunas I've used in a sauna shop in town. To get in, you have to slither in, or first move the main section down. Once inside, I could not raise my knee to scratch it. It's fine for me, but if you like more space, you might want to consider a larger unit. Very comfortable and toasty. Love the minimalist feel. We have a smaller home and this fits very nicely in our office. The only "negative" is that there is a bit of a plastic smell once it gets warm. The media could not be loaded. This product has extremely high EMF levels. I used it frequently (3 times per week) over the past two years and my health degraded. I had the EMF level tested and when this unit is turned on it exceeds 6 milligauss which is double the widely accepted 'safe' level of 3 milligauss for daily use. Attractive, functional and a great investment in your long term health! There are so many advantages to saunas, including sweating out toxins & the inflammation reducing Far Infra Red Light therapy. As someone who works with Dementia and Alzheimers in particular, I am very well aware of a Finnish study proving that frequent sauna bathing reduces the risk of dementia. In a 20-year follow-up, men taking a sauna 4-7 times a week were 66% less likely to be diagnosed with dementia than those taking a sauna once a week. How many times a week do you sauna? And it feels so good. I live in Texas, so we are exempt from the bitter cold weather of the north. However, on cool days, it feels so good to crawl into my heated sauna—I am literally warm to the bone. I am sweating out toxins as I relax—another win for the brain! However, who wants to have cellular chaos from being bombarded by EMF’s?? No problem with the HomeHealth sauna. I got out my EMF device just to make sure. And with the stone mat, I am enveloped in 360 degree warmth all the way around and NO EMF’s! I could go on and on, but I won’t. If you are looking for a sauna that offers all of the advantages, but without EMF’s, this is the one. Customer Service has been very responsive to my questions. Great company; great product.     • Some things that you might find helpful about this product before purchase:
Color: 0 EMF White
Product was easy to assemble. I accidentally bought the celsius, instead of farenheit version, but, I've been able to work that out. I started at a lower temp: 60 and 70, worked up to 80, then 85 and now using the product on high at 90. If you have mobility issues, I recommend using this on a bed, rather than the floor. Exercise care with the mat, which can feel quite hot, between the stones. It will only heat up to 80, but, it's still hot. I did end up finally using a towel. I don't know if this impacts the benefits of the 'healing stones.' But, I would not recommend using this without a towel. The mesh surface also gets uncomfortable. Showering before use is recommended, and I concur. The product is white leather like vinyl and you're sweating on it. This is another reason i recommend using a towel. Also be careful about touching the dome inside. It is also hot. I got a good sweat going at 90. I used it for approximately 40 minutes. Someone else said they had trouble moving the upper panels. Attach the curtain to the inside before you start. The easiest way is to lay the upper panel on it's end and press it on from the inside. The upper dome/ panel has little wheels on the bottom. If you align them along the sides of the mat, you can just roll the upper dome back over the lower dome when you are done or to adjust the position of the upper dome while you are in it. I like to lie with my arms outside after having them under the dome for a while. You may need to reattach the velcro curtain if you move your arms in and out, but, it's fairly simple. The velcro curtain also has a flap in the middle that you can adjust as close to your body as possible to prevent heat from escaping or going back toward your neck/ face area. Even with my head and arms out, I sweat aplenty at 90. This dome may not be the best option for those with mobility issues, or who have trouble getting up from a seated or flat position on the floor. An upright tent you can sit in and keep your head and arms out, may be a better option for those with certain health conditions. The cords connected to the unit from the box, can become an issue since they insert near the foot of the unit and the box is kept near the head so you can reach controls. This means the cords are hanging across/ in front of the unit. This won't be an issue if you have it on the floor, but it is an issue if you have it on an elevated surface, like a bed. I have to step over the cords to get to the unit, since I opted to put it up on an unused bed after trying it out on the floor. So far, I have not had any technical or mechanical issues or problems. The unit seems sturdy and well made. I wipe it down after use and move the two domes on to their ends on either corner of the bed to let the mat air/ dry out. So far, I am having a positive experience with this purchase, with the exception of FedEX. FedEX left this package in my front yard. The packaging was damaged. Thankfully, the manufacturer packaged it well and there didn't seem to be any damage to the sauna. I hope the manufacturer will consider getting a different carrier. ... show more
