I picked this fixture up to replace part of an old one-piece mirror/might cabinet. The replacement mirror I found had rounded corners, so figured this light would complement that feature. And it looks absolutely stunning… other than needing fresh paint on the wall. I also chose to mount the lights up instead of interfering with the mirror. Install of the unit itself was easy, but my old setup had no junction box to bolt to. Fortunately Southwire makes an “old construction” junction box that screws in from the outside. Just had to trace, cut some drywall, then screw it into a stud from the outside. Now all safe and up to code with a sturdy mounting location and no patch work needed. The fixture has a circular mounting plate with tons of adjustability. I had a centered stud, so the junction box was offset. Even with that I was able to mount the light safely and securely centered over the vanity. It’s a typical 3 wire setup, and they provide the mounting screws and wire nuts. Once mounted, I noticed I could either get the light level, or the base plate level. Not sure if it got crooked from factory, shipping, or my installation. I simply tweaked the fixture by grabbing the base and shoving up on the low end of the light. Took a decent amount of force, so it should stay in place once aligned. From there 3 bulbs went in, frosted plastic globes screwed over them, then flipped the switch to behold glowing orbs of excellence. ... show more

This light is really stunning for the price point. The gold is beautiful and warm, I’d say more of a champagne bronze than a brushed brass (see comparison of finishes in the photo, the escutcheon is more of a true brass, where this fixture is champagne bronze). The fixture itself is heavy and the glass bulbs are nicely made with a pretty white frost. Perfect size for my small bathroom. I have not installed yet (waiting to finish paint), but it looks like it will be very easy to do (we have installed countless of our own light fixtures). ... show more

These are not small globes at all, which is great to put over a larger mirror for good proportional balance. The glass is a lovely milky color, and the gold of the fixture is not too bright or garish. This light fixture makes a statement, but not an overly dominant one if that makes sense. Because it is so sleek & modern, it complements rather than overwhelms. I love that the instructions are so clear as well! Having dealt with items with less than ideal instructions, or worse - no instructions at all - it is really refreshing to have them as clear as this. Definitely recommend. ... show more
