  • You get what you pay for with this one
This is simply an outstanding Kenwood head unit. Large bright display, excellent audio quality, high voltage RCA outputs, and many other connectivity options. The screen is large bright and responsive. Wireless Apple CarPlay runs amazingly well on this unit. just to answer a question I had before purchasing that I could not get an answer to, The front and rear inputs will except the compatible Kenwood HD backup cam, But all documentation that I've seen showed that if you wanted to use the compatible dash cam that had to go into the front input, Making it look like it was an either or decision of the dash cam or the HD camera mounted lower on the front. Having bought the full set of gear for my install, with the intention of returning any that I couldn't get functional. I found that the dashcam input can be assigned to camera three which is a non-HD port (fine for the dashcam) And that allows you to have a front HD camera as well as the rear HD camera if desired. My car has a low front splitter, and having a camera mounted on the bumper with a view of the edge of the splitter is definitely a plus for parking without running it into a curb. Overall, I highly recommend this head unit. It is not cheap, but the build quality is there, and I can't think of much else that they could add to the feature set currently. ... show more
