I am pretty impressed with this small tent. I really wasn't expecting much, because in my experience tents are really "You get what you pay for," but wow, this little tent is surprisingly decent for the price. Now I'm not going to make insane claims and say I used it hiking mountains in the winter, but for a casual camping trip, it's perfect. I only used it so far in early April, so like with all budget tents, the biggest Achilles' heel is that it is just water-resistant, not waterproof. Luckily it was a very light rain, but I could still tell that if it was a heavy rain, it was definitely going to have issues. Setup is insanely easy, since it's an "instant" tent: you pull it out of its travel bag, pull the top up, spread it outward and it pops right up. You could probably have it up alone in five minutes; it's insanely easy. It comes with stakes which obviously you should use, because this thing weighs virtually nothing, so even the lightest breeze is going to send it flying. It has 3 huge windows, so it has tons of ventilation, but it does not have a roof vent for ventilation. The windows are a bit on the cheaper side, since the flaps for closing it are velcro, but for a budget tent I suppose it is fine. The durability of the tent is eh; it is definitely on the thin and cheap side. I would be extra careful with where you place it on the ground, because I am certain a rock would shred through the bottom very easily. Size-wise, I can lay down in it just fine at 6' tall, but I take up the whole length, so it does have decent space. Overall though, it's a fine tent for a warmer night in good weather. ... show more

I took a long time looking at many tents and thought I'd be safe saving a little money and getting a product that seemed on par with the more expensive tents from companies I'd heard of, well, you get what you pay for and this is a junk product. First the "waterproof" sealed, tub style, floor in the tent was so thin you could see right through it and the tent poles so flimshy that two broke just trying to fold them. I got this instant camping tent because I wanted something quick and low-stress for casual outings with the kids, and I’ve honestly been really happy with how easy it is to use. The instant setup is the best part by far. I did not want to wrestle with poles while my toddler was wandering off and my older girls were asking a million questions, and this one was so much easier than a traditional tent. The pre-attached pole design makes setup feel much more manageable, and it really is the kind of tent you can have up fast without turning it into a whole event. For a lightweight 2-person tent, it worked really well for short trips, park days, and simple outdoor use where I just wanted something portable and easy to carry. I like that it comes with the carry bag and doesn’t feel overly bulky, and at under 5 pounds it’s realistic to toss in the car without taking up a ton of room. The ventilation is also nice, especially with all the mesh panels, because it helps keep it from feeling stuffy inside. That made a difference on warmer days when we were using it more as a quick shelter or hangout space than a heavy-duty overnight setup. The little storage pockets inside were also handy for keeping small things from getting lost in the bottom of the tent. The only thing I’d keep in mind is that this feels more like a convenient, casual-use tent than something I’d rely on for rough weather or a more serious camping trip. It’s great for ease, portability, and quick setup, but because it’s lightweight and compact, space gets tight fast with two people plus gear. For one adult and a child or for light weekend use, though, I thought it was a really good fit. Truly a one minute setup, I left the tent with my mom and walked away to grab my jacket from the truck and when I came back it was all set up and my kid was inside lol We took this tent on a 4 day camping trip and it rained the majority of the time we were there. We staked the tent down and let my kid use it as a place to keep his toys and play with his friend. They managed to track a lot of water into the tent getting in and out. I would not recommend this tent if you know its going to rain. The windows only open and close from the outside, and they are secured by a few squares of velcro, not a zipper. There is no rain fly. But the flip side is that there is great ventilation. The material doesn't feel super durable and I was a little worried about it ripping. When I was putting it away I ripped the seams on the bag it goes back into. However, the poles held up better to the wind than my parents coleman tent. We had to prematurely end our camping trip when the wind snapped a pole on my parents tent, but since the poles on this tent bend inward to fold up, the wind buckled the poles and collapsed the tent poles instead of breaking. Overall, the tent is only $40 so its a a pretty good value for the money, its super lightweight and big enough to comfortably sleep two people, or provide a dry-ish play space for two rambunctious children. ... show more
