  • These work much better than expected.
Color: 3 Pack
These work really well! I was expecting it to hear the pool by a little bit, which it does (as you can see from the temperature tracing before we heated the pool, the temperature was slowly creeping up—with fluctuations at night as expected). But where it really excels is at keeping the pool warm once you have heated it. We heated the pool 1 week ago for one night, and as you can see the pool has remained warm for a week after hearing by simply leaving these covers on when the pool is not in use. They are a tad bigger than you might expect from the pictures. The outer rim can be inflated with a motor, but the center has to be inflated manually, which can be time-consuming if you have a large pool. Each piece comes with two patches in case you end up with a perforation, which is nice. We’ve had these for over a week and so far we’re very happy. This exceeded my expectations by far! I would buy it again. ... show more

  • Not worth the money!
Color: 3 Pack
I usually don’t review anything but this product is so bad I had to take a moment to share. First off I ordered 2 sets (6 total solar floats) to help cover more surface of our pool. One box came with 2 out of the 3 ripped. So I returned them the next day. I kept the other 3 because they seemed to hold air. The next week they were all flat. I tried to re-inflate and they just didn’t hold any air. These are so flimsy and I can’t believe the quality for the high cost. I expected so much more! ... show more

  • Overpriced pool floats
Color: 3 Pack
I really want to like these. I have a 16’ above ground pool, so I ordered 2x 3-packs. They do warm up the water…slightly. Just the top few inches of water. So you’ll stick your hand under them and think “oh that’s nice”, but then as soon as you turn on filter and the water circulates, that water is quite cold again. They have to be “anchored” by putting water on top of them, or they’ll blow away, but that water evaporates after a day or two, so they’re not exactly maintenance-free. We’ve also noticed that it’s more difficult to keep our water clear with them in and had to use more chemicals than before. I think I would be less disappointed if they weren’t so darn expensive. I’m not really sure why they’re $80 for 3 of them. They should be $20 for 3 of them, tops. These floats are nothing special. Think Walmart, 5 bellow, or dollar general and that’s what you’re getting. ... show more

  • I actually returned these.
Color: 3 Pack
Still for the time being I will say they’re nice. They blow up fast and are nice and light. Now that’s good and bad. The light part is good because easy to pick up and bad because a nice gust of wind takes them. That can be cured by putting water on them I’m sure. My other con is I had other ones with rings to put them on hooks. These you just find a spot and stack them so I wasn’t a fan of that. I will say for a budget solar ring they fit the bill just make sure you have some where to stack them and probably throw some water in them while in the pool. ... show more

  • I'd skip this product if I had a do over.
Color: V2 12 Pack
Just built a pool and opted to hold off on the typical roof solar while absorbing the initial cost of the build. I have heard good things about solar pool covers, but didn't want the hassle of taking it off and on. I thought these would be a close second. They just don't really work and they take up a ton of deck space when you pull them out. They became known as the giant stack of pancakes during our swimming season. They "might" retain a small amount of heat overnight, but it seems that the shade they cast in the pool eliminates any heat gains on a hot day. They definitely get warm when sitting in the sun and you would think that as a heat sink, they would transfer some heat to the water. They just don't. I compared temperature gains on multiple similar weather days, both with and without the blue pancakes. No substantial differences. I'm tempted to cut out some of the bottom blue section to try that before I throw them away. As of right now though, I'd say they are a complete waste of money. ... show more

  • Great for aboveground pool with fence!
Color: 3 Pack
I inflated with an Intex hand pump. If they curl just let some air out of the base first and then the ring until they lay flat. I purchased these because my community has very strict pool fence requirements and I was forced to install a perimeter fence on my above ground pool. These are much easier to handle than a normal solar cover, which is very difficult to remove through the fence. These just get tossed over the fence, quick and easy. For a quick swim just stack them up in the pool, very easy for one person. With enough to provide full coverage (more than 80%) I feel these do perform equal to a standard solar cover. Cost may be a factor with larger pools, I would like to see the seller offer kits based on pool size instead of a basic 3 pack that you must buy multiples of. ... show more

  • Small and don't sit flat
Color: 3 Pack
Kids have fun using them as boats, but as far as heating the pool these are junk. They simply don't sit flat. Try more/less are in both sections and simply couldn't get them to lay flat. Unfortunately I paid for trash this time. Concept seems nice to not have to deal with the larger solar blanket, but too expensive and worse, don't function ... show more

  • They look like floaties.
Color: 3 Pack
Wasn't so sure about the product after reading all reviews but I decided to try it. Got them in today inflated and perfect. As long as you read and follow the instructions provided you should not have any folds or problems with them inflating. Windy day today but they have not flown out just yet. I did spray water on the top to help with some weight. Now they are on the pool and we shall see if they warm it up in a few days. ... show more
