So far the best natural wood cover up here (6000ft.) Works at least as well as Penefin. Turns the wood an amber/orangey color on white pine, but still looks good. Used it on my shake siding, perfect.

    • Looks great when applied but wears away very fast.
Looks great when you first apply. Lasts only for a year or so. I am in NY so it is depending on severity of the winter. Once it starts to wear off which won't take long you have a epic mess. Nothing like the oil based product that last for years. If you don't mind power washing, sanding and repreping every year then go for it. That 5 year nonsense on label is laughable. I go a few states over and purchase the oil based. It's worth the trip and I buy a large quantity so I have extra. ... show more

    • Works as advertised
I've been using CWF for 35 years. It has been reformulated over that time but still works well. The UV-5 type is what I've used the past 5+- years and it is longer lasting than the standard CWF.
