It's a really nice shade, and glad that I went for it. I wanted something that wasn't blocking as much light as the one I had. So I put this up and am not disappointed at all. It throws a beautiful light pattern including up onto the ceiling. And when you look at it, it just looks so pretty. It fits at it should. And it does allow more light to flow, which is awesome. I put a vintage looking buib in so that the filament could throw more light out, which it seems to be doing. A standard light bulb doesn't do this justice. Definitely worth the money, may be changing out the other 3 i have in what was the dining room area. They are nice. They arrived well packaged, no cracks. Much better than the previous ones that came with the house. These are more heavy/thick. The colors slightly vary. 1/3 was darker than the others so I just put it in the middle with the lighter ones on the sides. The opening was a bit too wide but that was easily remedied and they were very easy to install.
