Love this lamp. It gives off plenty of light, with all the bulbs going. The metal looks nice. Quality seems excellent. I found it screws together easier if it's standing up. The weight of each piece holds it straight into the one below. Dropped a star because it doesn't have a handy USB port. I plug my Kindle or sometimes rechargeable keyboard, or maybe other things into the lamp once in a while. It could use a work tray. I have a lamp with a tray that is on an arm that comes out from the lamp, so the whole tray is usable. The trays that wrap around the lamp poles are mostly useless. ... show more

We bought this specifically because it matched the one we have already. I only wish it came with a reading lamp attached to it. Our other one does and we use that feature a whole lot. But this lamp works well, we have it in a place that it will not get knocked over. Over time these can get a little wobbly, but so far this one is holding itself up well. I bought two of these lamps because of the price. For whatever reason, every time I move, my floor lamps always wind up broken so cheaper lamps are better than expensive ones in that regard. They are also an unobtrusive design. I like that they take standard bulbs, so I put LED smart bulbs in them that work with Alexa. I just leave the switch on the lamp in the on position all the time and control the light with Alexa. The lamps arrived well packed and were easy to put together. With a 9 watt LED bulb they put out plenty of light and don't consume much energy. I bought two more of these lamps for my bedroom and will put Alexa bulbs in them just like I did the lamps in my office. That will brighten things up in that room too and it won't break the bank, and if the lamps break whenever I move next, I won't be heart broken. ... show more

It's a pretty metallic feeling lamp floor lamp. I think it would fit best in a more modern set up. I didn't realize when I bought it , but 59" is a bit inconvenient as it is almost at my height (62") and is a bit blinding if I am standing near it. The bulb doesn't get hot though and it feels safe. It is a bit wobbly on carpet, so I wouldn't put this in an area with lots of young children or dogs. The bulb included is bright enough to bathe my small bedroom in light but not really bright enough for a living room or anything. It was easy to put together. You just have to pull the string all the way through the bottom as you screw the pole pieces together. Crane neck works great so far and is easy to adjust.
