    • Quick connects reversed?
I don't know if mine is assembled wrong or not, but the male and female quick connects are opposite of what some of the pictures(including in the manual) show. This meant the only adapter to go on the outlet side had a female thread, which is what the end of the hosse you hook up has, so I had to go buy a double male threaded adapter to get it hooked up. This softener is amazing. We couldn’t afford a whole house system we put this in the pump house the rest of the equipment to clean up our water. It took the iron smell right out of the water. My horse didn’t want to drink the water because of the smell. After the softener was installed she started drinking it. ... show more

It only tested hard water for me after setting it up. It came with no instructions except to tell me to use water softener salt. I searched all over the Internet for information and got conflicting information, most suggesting Morton Salt. Some said use two boxes, some said use four boxes. No matter what I did hard water was all I got. I emailed the company with questions which they did not answer. I really wanted this to work.
