Our home is on a hill, so I’ve grown fond of these hanging Christmas decor items to take up more space for decorating which makes it easier to be seen from the road. I already had a similar type decoration like this, so i was excited to add an additional one on the other side of the house. Though set up was simple (i recommend starting with the middle strand and building the tree shape from each side after that), by the time it was done i was dissatisfied with it because the shade of the light was sooooo much different than the other warm white lights all around it. These lights give off kind of a peachy hue and it looked really out of place among the matching warm white lights. Though this had the potential to be great, unless it stands on its own or with multicolored lights, it will not coordinate well with uniform warm white. The craftsmanship is nice and it comes with all the components for set up, but for my decor it was not a good fit due to its odd hue. For this incorrect color, i did deduct a star. Next year this will be displayed in our backyard and separate from my other Christmas decor seen from the road because of its light color.

First, the photos in the ad are all photoshopped and misleading as far as the size goes. The strands are 12' from the end of the strand to the top of the star. That does not mean this is anywhere near 12' when it is installed. Photo 1 shows it superimposed over a Christmas tree. I have no idea how one would nail the ends of the strings into an indoor floor. The tree comes with small outdoor stakes. Photo 3 shows this hanging from a second floor balcony. The highest the triangle could be and still have any spread would be maybe 10 feet. The rooms in this house would have to have 7' ceilings at best. The point is it's not nearly as large as it looks in the pictures. The measurements written on the last line of the "About this item" after you click "› See more product details" are accurate. The product itself isn't bad. The lights are small but have a very nice twinkle to them. The remote is OK and the effects are OK. The basic question with budget holiday decorations is "how do they stack up compared to other things at the price point?" and the answer is this is right on target. Based on total number of lights and size and function it's not bad. It's not exceptional value nor will it make you regret your purchase as long as you know what size it actually is.

As of April this light tree is still out front of the house and lights up each night. Maybe I was supposed to take them down? I like the blue tint to the lights and a great feature is if your dog tears a few lights off the rest of the tree assembly still works. A+

This looks very cool once you get it up. Just don't plan to move it. And make sure you have the patience to spend an hour untangling it all. This has very, very thin clear wires. That just tangle all around themselves. It's very awkward. It would be best to have two people. A person on a ladder to hang it, and then unwrap from the bread tie each string one a a time. And then a person below to grab the string and get it into the ground. To secure to the ground, you get some stakes. But there is no loop or anything on the string. You just have to press the stake all the way into the ground and use pressure to keep the string down. So make sure your ground it's frozen. Trying to untangle this, we ripped the bottom of a wire. Now only every other light comes on. But it does still work even with part of the string cut. A positive thing. I have no idea if this can be stored with any hope of re-using.

I really loved this decoration! A little creativity and it was up in the yard in no time. It comes with everything you need to set it up. Some things that you need to know is that it is really tall so be prepared to use a ladder for the best results. I took the lazy way out which was to untie all of the strands and then put it up, well that just cost me more time because they got easily tangled and separating them was a PIA! It would be easier with two people setting it up one at the top of the ladder to untie as the person on the bottom goes along. It was perfectly as described the remote works for different lighting effects, and it looks a lot better than I thought it would.

The media could not be loaded. This star was the pinnacle of my display! I had to display this by attaching a cord on top of one of my huge front yard tree/shrub. I needed to get a ladder as I did all this and also cut a few twigs out to make the star display more visible! Let me tell you first that this display is very large. The string lights themselves are less than 12feet each, and there is 9 of them total. The star is a little shy of being a foot in size. Making this display about 13 feet plus! Very large display for all to see! In all honesty, my neighbors had stars as well but this one was like a giant compared to theirs. The amount of lights was just amazing, 344 bright as can be led lights. It's waterproof and has 8 modes to chose from, combination, in waves, sequential,slow goo, fast speed, chasing/flash, slow fade, twinkle/flash, steady on. The only thing I can comment is that when you are undoing the lights from the box, make sure to have enough space to undo the strings and to properly stretch them gently accordingly to their position on the star. Once you have them all ready. Head over to area, attach star first, make sure it's a decent height and then you can attach the 9 strings in sequence on the ground. They also give you ground anchors for the strings so your display is secure. Overall this is one amazing star! It tops over all others I've seen and is very visible from far away. (I walked my dog around the block and clearly could see the tree from far away. It lit my whole front yard) The amount of LED(344) it has plus the modes, make it a stunning display. With it's price is just unbelievable! This was for sure the highlight of my display. I referred this to family and friends. I would get this again in a heartbeat but this time the multicolor one.
