The frame of this bed is made of solid wood, which is very sturdy and durable, and there is also a wooden support in the middle of the frame. 12 inches of space under the bed is enough to hold some miscellaneous items. The slightly retro style is why I like it.

    • Very flimsy bed
Instructions are just okay, and once the bed is put together, it doesn't feel sturdy at all. I had a Zinus bed, which I bought for the same price, and it was much sturdier and I wish I'd kept it. The Zinus bed was a little too low for my liking, but it was a much higher quality than this.

    • You pay for what you get
Edit: credit where it is due the seller refunded our purchase. Unfortunately, this bed is very flimsy. Its so lightweight that it is very easy to push around. You can even move the bed while you lie it with just a little bit of motion. If you have a plush carpet that's probably not going to be a massive issue but a rug, non-plush carpet or hardwood floor is a problem for the bed. What has happened to us is support struts underneath the mattress pop out. The screw is not better than a wooden dowel and so the struts get knocked out very easily. We purchase this bed based on price and aesthetics. A $200 bed from Ikea won't look as nice but it is x10 more sturdy and will last way longer than this thing which we bought less than 4 months ago. ... show more
