We ordered the 65” Samsung ‘The Frame’ television and it arrived with the Matt screen cracked from the top down, literally shattered. Rather than gambling on a replacement, we purchased one through a private retailer for the same price. The television is phenomenal, with great sound and clarity. We uploaded pictures from a favorite vacation spot to use in the “Art Form” mode. Our son owns a 55” Frame television and his was our inspiration for this. The damage aside, this is a fantastic television! It is easily programmed either through one’s Smart phone, or the smart remote. The mounting brackets are actually very straightforward and the 1-connect single cable allows for a very streamlined installation. This is a really wonderful TV. Picture is amazing and no glare from sun. Instructors for wall mount were not clear. Also the anchors that came with the set are junk. I bought this TV as I liked the idea of having art on the wall when off vs a large black box. Instead I now have a permanent error code on my wall. TV was not great for the first month, but at least it mostly worked. It had some issues where the screen would dramatically change brightness in the middle of viewing for no reason and some minor issues maintaining connection to my soundbar and sound/video timing mismatch. Then this error screen came up. Samsung support has been out now 3 times and have replaced all the boards and cable with no success in fixing the issue and have a 4th visit scheduled though even they say they are not sure what to try next. Looking online it seems several people are getting this type of error. Some after 2 months of use, some after 2 years. For others it seems sometimes replacing the One Connect Box or the One Connect cable fixes it, sometimes it doesn’t. What is clear to me now is the overall quality control on these TV’s is seriously lacking and I have gotten one of the ‘lemons’. I wish I had never bought this and had done more research into their quality before doing so. Now I just have an expensive piece of trash on my wall. ... show more

So I am a Samsung tv person…someone convinced me to spend the extra for this tv I have the Qled in the other room not sure if I really need all the features this tv has but it has a lot… you have to set up a Samsung account to get this tv to work which can be a pain in the butt still can’t get it right…put a super box on it plus all my paid subscriptions…it’s cool cause whatever movie you search for it tells you all the ways to play it…so it is cool in that sense…oh this tv comes with its own mount so no need to buy one it’s a big silver square like a regular picture hook kinda cool…getting the back to line up was a bit of a pain so it’s anchored on one side through the sheetrock and wood stud mounted on the other….definitely better to have someone install it for you ... show more

The Good: - Purchased open box 55" Frame TV from Walts TV which was great for the price - TV picture and performance is awesome for the price - The Samsung app experience is decent when compared with Roku (great) and Google (terrible) The Good to Know: - Be sure you remove the battery tab from the remote and charge it FULLY (via USB-C) before expecting anything (wow we struggled trying even 30min of charging and the remote blinking red and doing nothing. You'll know it's charged when the red charge light goes out.) - Use a fine microfiber cloth to clean the screen, you may need to slightly dampen it to get fingerprint oil off - Use clean latex gloves etc. when handling the TV to avoid prints The Bad & Ugly - In general, for such an expensive TV, the setup instructions were lacking on some obvious stuff to help get things going faster - For us, experienced in mounting TVs and light carpentry, the phillips head screws could lock in studs HARD before they are in all the way. It's terrible and easy to round out the screw head if you're not careful backing it out. I've seen this issue elsewhere, we ended up using custom, flush top hex screws to hold the mount securely. - If you get art for the Frame TV from Etsy etc., upload them one-at-a-time, otherwise you lose the ability to not have a matte border - bulk uploads lose this for some reason. So can't give it a full 5 stars, TV is great, the deal from Walts was great, but sheesh, just the small stuff really added more stress than expected. ... show more

This was a gift for our daughter’s new home. We own a frame tv and love the look and apps you can use on the frame to look like a picture hanging. Easy to setup and sound is good for living room. The remote is a charging and no batteries which is good but had to reorder another one. The one that came with tv would not hold charge. We had a new remote within days and tv working great. Can't fault Samsung, but in my case the connection cable wouldn't connect with the back of the TV. Sent is back and purchased a regular Samsung TV. Didn't recognize that this Frame TV comes with a separate, large One Connect box, so check where you are going to install.
