It's a sturdy bunk bed that looks good and everything is held together without problems. It doesn't take up too much space, which makes for more space in children's bedrooms. We were very satisfied, it met our needs perfectly and the kids really loved it.

The bed works fine for the price, but im surpirsed how flimsy it is. After reading others say how sturdy it is, its not. You can shake and bend the whole thing with one hand. it sways side to side. it leans to the side as my 50lb daughter climbs the ladder. All the joints are flat metal-to-metal fit. if they had used even 1 diagonal cross member or made the pieces interlock, even a little dimple, it would be way better. The guardrail is too low. We bought a low-profile mattress. its very thin, i was almost worried it wouldnt be supportive enough. Even still the guardrail BARELY pokes above it. nowhere near the 5 inches this ad claims you NEED for safety. The ladder is difficult to climb for a taller kid, Mine is 6 but a little tall. The ladder is just built badly and hurts my daughter's feet to climb. the rung spacing is weird and too few. Overall we will make due with it for a few years then toss it. better to go with a slightly more expensive bed that doesnt skimp on materials. More solid built ... show more

This bunk bed is very solid and easy to install, but it needs two people together because this iron frame is a bit heavy. The texture is also good to the touch, and there is no paint smell.
