This bench is a complete waste of money. First, it's too SMALL! It's probably designed for children. We'll go with that. Second, The wood is pine, not oak and they aren't even single pieces. They're multiple scrap pieces that have been jointed and glued together. The back rest piece is plastic, not iron or steel. It won't last more than a single season before it's falling apart. If I must say something positive, it would be this is a nice decoration piece for a porch or garden because it's useless as something to sit on.

This is a cheap bench. Assembly is easy. The finish looks nice but is not smooth to the touch. Sitting on it, the planks feel like they would break if you sat down to hard. The 2 metal legs are the only solid part on this bench. The back piece that looks metal is actually plastic. I would NOT reccomend this for sitting. This should be used strictly as a decorative piece.

The top wood piece of the back is made of 7 different pieces of wood and bottom 4 pieces.It fells like it is bowing back. The description and the picture make it look like the insert in the back is cast iron but it is not. It is a flimsy plastic painted to look like cast.The seat seems OK but I'm afraid to put too much pressure leaning back against it . Not very happy with it.

I was very disappointed in the quality of the product. For the price I paid I was expecting a much more sturdy bench. I have it assembled with all bolts and screws tight but there is still much wobble. I have bought similar benches costing much less that were better quality. I will keep the product but will probably need to replace it much sooner than expected. The seat boards sag more than they should. I am adding to my review a photo of the back board coming apart after only a few uses. The back is plastic with no strength so when someone sits it bends the back of the bench causing the board to come apart. This bench is a major disappointment.
