  • Great unit/Great customer support
Size: 4000W/12V- ETL
Unit Purchased= 4000 watt. Usage for RV/ 5th wheel travel power. Received thru Amazon two days after purchase in good shape but missing remote Received missing remote three days after customer support contacted me. Pros: Works as rated. My plans are to use it for my 5th wheel travel power. I got the unit and tested it to see if it would handle the load before installing in my 5th wheel. I put it on four 300amp AGM lifetime batteries using two strands of 4/0 wire for both pos/neg(the four 8 gauge wires provided were too short and did heat up on heavy usage).. Tested with two 1500 watt heaters for 3200 watt load and worked great for about two hours before it took the batteries down to half load and below 10 volts so auto shut off. Recharged batteries and then did second test by adding one more 1500 watt heater (3x) and still work. Went into overload of 6200 watts on startup and then down to 4200 watts and still worked great until the batteries were discharged below 10 volts then auto shut off. The unit does suck power, but provides the power needed. I then tested it on an RV refrigerator and a microwave. No unusual sounds or issues and provided the needed power. I have not tested the pure sine wave power yet but using it on motors and heaters has not been an issue. The unit is good sized (generally=length about the size of average mans chest and half the width so it is rather big, but can easily be installed inside a 5th wheel front storage compartment. The remote switch works great. Con which turned into a pro: My unit originally came with NO REMOTE. The company actually contacted me thru Amazon e-mail and asked if I got the unit and how it was working. I advised Elsa (Customer Support) that I got NO REMOTE and she sent me one three days later. Excellent customer support. Unit works as advertised and excellent customer support. Update - (02/10/2019) - I have not installed it in my RV yet but as an electrician, I tested it for pure sine wave power and it meets specs. I've had no issues for powering my computers and sensitive electronic components. However, this unit will pull over 600amps (12 volt) on full power usage so I would highly recommend users greatly upgraded their wiring and also use multiple stands of heavy gauge wire. I elected to use 4/0 wire and used three strands as I had extra wire left over from another solar project (two strands 4/0 works fine too). The larger the wire, the better and the more strands, the better. This unit will pull lots of amps. ... show more

  • Worth the money
Size: 2200W / 12V
The media could not be loaded. I've read these inverters are of pretty good quality, for the price and wattage I think their really fair. I've had interaction with their customer support and they are good as well. I believe in redundancy so I use all these same inverters, that way if one fails I can easily swap it out without modifying wiring or mounts. I recommend them. ... show more

  • Giandel better than Renogy!!!
Size: 3000W / 12V ETL
Works great, this is my second only because I screwed up and fried the first one. Put in some safeguards to protect this one. Installed it in my 20' enclosed trailer/toy hauler that I built out. I have 600 watts of solar so far and 942 ah of lithium battery storage. This combination of 942 ah of storage and 3000W inverter runs my AC, TV and lights all at once. Haven't run a long enough test yet to see how long it will last. I did try a 3000W Renogy but it wouldn't stay on, every time I flipped the switch to power the trailer it would shut off. The GFCI settings were set too sensitive and couldn't handle the load. So don't buy Renogy, get a Giandel you'll be much happier. ... show more

  • Works Well But 2200W output is not gonna happen.
Size: 2200W / 12V
Installed in a van conversion. Works well for moderate wattage use but i've had limited success getting it to power up 1500W rated AC appliances. Using 2x 200AH LIPO battery supply. The wires that come with the unit are good, I think 6gauge. I replaced them 2 gauge. My setup is a short run from source to inverter, 20-inches so it's not a supply bottleneck. I've tested this with a couple of appliances/pumps. 500watt a/c unit. The unit has a max startup surge of 1800W. I am able to start this AC unit up about 50% of the time. Once it starts I am able to keep it running. 1500W portable AC. Won't start the compressor. This AC has a startup surge 2,000W +- Never been able to get it running. 1300W water pump. Has a variable start surge of 1800 -2000w Won't get it going. Runs small microwave just fine. Fan will kick in. The internal fan is not silent. Not too loud but you would not want to be sleeping next to it. It is a decent unit. I still give it a good value but if you plan to use higher wattage appliances that require a substantial startup boost... plan accordingly. I'm pretty sure a 3,000W unit would run the appliances I tested. ... show more
