Smart plugs have been around forever, so what could be special about these? I wasn't expecting anything new or different, but these have some new features I wasn't expecting. First, while the manufacturer suggests you use Gosund as the app, I also found that you can pair with the more obliquitous SmartLife which worked just fine. Second, like so many other plugs, these only work with 2.4g so if you have dual system, you have to back off to only 2.4g or they will not pair. Whem O paired in SmartLife, I found there were 6 additional features that most plugs do not have, including the ability to see how good the signal strength is, and to give so modes I have not seen before. Since this is obviously a new step in programing, I am giving this the extra fifth star because it was an unexpected bonus. ************** VINE Notice ************************ Even though I have been given this product as part of a VINE review by Amazon, my reviews are honest and not influenced by receiving the product. Quite frankly, I could buy this if I wanted it, and I am doing these reviews for fun. I am a 65 year old guy and have appreciated the very clear and detailed reviews on Amazon. I've been using this 2-pack of GHome smart plugs for almost a month, and I'm pleased with how seamlessly they integrated into my smart home system. Setting them up was quick and easy, though I did need to download the GHome app from Google Play and install it on my phone. This step is necessary before Alexa will recognize and control the plugs. The app is user-friendly, and once the plugs were set up, Alexa recognized them immediately. These plugs are compact with a space-saving design. Each smart plug features two outlets, which are offset horizontally and extend beyond the typical dual outlet plate. However, they're compact enough that both devices will fit into a 2-plug wall outlet. This is particularly convenient, as some other smart plugs I've purchased are too tall to stack like this, which can be an issue for anyone looking to maximize outlet usage. The plugs are rated for 15 amps and operate on a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Each socket is individually controlled, so this 2-pack effectively adds four new outlets to your smart home system. Voice control via Alexa works flawlessly, and the plugs respond promptly to commands, making it easy to manage connected devices without needing to reach for my phone. A few other features are worth mentioning. These GHome plugs are equipped with surge protection and overload protection for added safety. The scheduling and timer functions work as advertised, allowing me to automate when certain devices turn on or off, helping to save energy and money. Just follow the included directions for set up and there are even directions so you can bind your smart plug to use with voice assistants. Just remember that you need to use a 2.4 ghz network connection. Easiest way to get the app is by using the QR code in the directions. Just make sure that you are pairing your plug to the same network your phone uses. After install you can operate the power switch for each plug remotely or you can set it up with a timer or on/off schedule. I use mine to turn off my office fan and my air purifier during a conference call or during a recording session. This works really well and performs as it should.

I really like this product. Easy installation, setup and use - this is a great product for those who want to automate their home! I have several Tuya/SmartLife products in my home and this fits right in with everything else. Literally, I had this up and running in less than 5 minutes! If you go through the Tuya/SmartLife app, you can name the plug and then name each outlet. If you have your Amazon/Google Home account synced with your Tuya/SmartLife account, it'll sync pretty much instantly so you can use the individual name you assigned to them in your Tuya/SmartLife account to turn on and shut off each outlet! You can even program each outlet to turn on/shut off at a specific time each day - as well as turning it on or shutting it off in the app and manually. So far, each plug has worked flawlessly and I haven't had any issues with it executing any routines that I've set in the app (via Amazon or Tuya/SmartLife.) It being a 2-pack for $25 makes it a GREAT deal - not only does it allow you to control each outlet individually but it gives you an extra AC outlet to use in a space where there are traditionally only 2 - I highly recommend this product!

I needed extra outlets and these work great. I didn't set up the app and am using without the app so basically I can turn the switch on and off with the button but really needed the extra plug capability. I'll set up alexa eventually but works great without.
