I know Apple is trying to provide a sleek design, but having alll the ports on the back of the monitor/computer is a real pain. This solves having to turn the computer around to find that one port you need to plug into.

I bought this for a brand new 2023 iMac with a M3 chip. I didn't realize when I ordered the iMac that it comes with exactly zero USB ports. So this in concept iw wonderful. It snaps into the machine fairly easily. And gives me USB ports on the front. As well as the micro and standard SD card readers. You only get 2 USB 3.0 ports. I don't why they are even making anything with the 2.0 anymore. So 2 of the USB ports are pretty well useless. Unless you are plugging something in that doesn't require any speed at all. I don't have a use for them. The USB type C port on the front would be excellent for charging the keyboard or mouse. Except it's super lose. When you plug a cord into it, it basically falls out. It does work, but anything plugged in isn't going to stay. Maybe I got a dud? I kind of want to return it. But everything takes so long to ship on Amazon now that it's not worth the time it's going to take for me to return and get another one. I might still return it. Basically, if you want something that snaps onto the iMac and make it seem as if it's part of the machine, these and identical ones for the same price are your only option. It just sucks that in all reality, what you are really getting is turning one USB C aka Thunderbolt port into 2. With a bonus of having SD card readers. ... show more
