  • Easy to use. Good little coffee maker. No problems after 3 months use...
I've been using this for three months every morning now with no problem. Easy to use. I liked my Mr. Coffee 4 cupper better, but this is better for 6 cups, though I usually only make 2 or 3 every day. I use brown paper filters number 2 size, and that makes it easy to clean, and I clean it every month or so by running white vinegar through it a few times and then plain water to clean out the vinegar and that cleans it out. No problems. So far so good. Just remember to turn it off. Green light on, no light means off. It does not shut off itself, but I remember to shut it off. It's an okay coffee maker. Good coffee. ... show more

  • Exceptional Performance in a Small Form Factor!
I was pleasantly surprised by my everyday usage of this small wonder. Great Coffee flavor and all the features of a full size coffee maker. My daily coffee consists of a 12 oz cup and using my full size coffee maker was overkill. This does the job just as good if not better since the efficiency makes up for the excess in replacement filters and cleaning. I use this maker with a #2 unbleached cone paper filter vs the #4 of my full size maker. The heating plate turns off in 2 hours and it does stay very hot during that time. I am extremely happy with this purchase and I only hope that it endures the ravages of time, that's not to imply that the manufacturing is in any way defective. I sincerely and highly recommend this gem of a mini Coffee Maker. ... show more

  • Nice small coffee maker
Color: Silver Black
The carafe is very fragile...be gentle. Four cups means 4 VERY SMALL cups. The machine has a weep hole in the back so if you overfill it it will dribble water onto the counter. I'd rather not have the weep hole. I think you should be able to put as much water in as you dare put into the carafe. I have no complaints about the operation of the machine, but I broke the carafe before I got to use it much. ... show more

  • Easy to use and does the job.
Color: Silver Black
Had to replace a broken pot, but could only find used ones that cost the same as a new unit! This one does the job! Recommended for a quick cup of coffee in a small office setting.

  • Great coffee maker!!!
Coffee DOES NOT SPILL WHEN POURED! 😊😊😊 Coffee is much hotter than my old 4 cup maker. Option to steal some coffee before it is finished brewing if you can’t wait. Easier to clean with the insert coming out to rinse. Love the auto shut off and the power button well lit and in the front. Plus the blue light around the power button makes it easy to notice if you forget to turn it off. My old one was dim and on the side of the coffee maker, sometimes I’d forget to turn it off. Didn’t happen often, but a safety issue. It was a little noisy initially, but I haven’t noticed it since then. So far Very Happy. 😊😊😊 ... show more

  • Finicky; non consistent brew.
This is a basic coffee maker, as the price suggests. There’s no issue with that. However, the brewing mechanism is not consistent. Specifically the drip mechanics can get stuck, causing one of two issues, or both at the same time. * Using 4-cup paper cone filter… First the drip will stop while there is still coffee in the filter, not filling the pot as expected. When you remove the pot to see what’s going on the coffee then begins to flow onto the warmer. Not drip but flow as there can be a lot of liquid in the filter depending on when you caught the issue. Second, your coffee may have grounds in it because the coffee overflowed the filter, spilling into the filter basket. What’s interesting is that you can experience one of the two above without the other, as well as both at the same time. *Paperless filter… I did not experience this exact issue with the included paperless filter, but it was slow to brew and threatened spillage. This filter can also be tedious to clean if you’re a person who likes a ‘clean looking’ filter for every brew. I did not use this filter much for these reasons. I am rating the Gevi 4 cup maker three stars because the machine does work as expected about 90% of the time; full pot brewed with no grounds or spillage. I’ve also not given the paperless filter a fair chance. That said, the coffee making process can be a pain when the Gevi does not work; creating a decent mess and a delayed cup of coffee. A few tricks I’ve learned for a more consistently positive experience: - wet filter before adding grounds - carefully position filter, reducing gaps - don’t pack in the grounds - place the bottom of the cone filter off center to avoid it sitting directly on the drip mechanism - clean the drip basket regularly; once/week at least This is a bit more work than I expect, given my over 30 years of brewing coffee. Never had to be this careful brewing coffee. ... show more

  • Perfect 4-cup coffee maker
Makes the perfect cup of coffee and is the perfect size. I was looking for a 4-cup with a #2 filter basket vs. the more typical flat-bottom basket style because it brews a better cup of coffee. And this is exactly what I was looking for. As I write this, I am enjoying my first mug of coffee from this machine. The scoop that comes with the coffee maker is the correct measure—1 scoop per cup. I’m using Tim Horton’s coffee, and it came out perfectly. Contrary to other reviews, it is not messy to pour, and the machine is easy to clean. As the instructions tell you, and as you should with any new machine, you do have to run a few cycles of just water through the machine before you make the first pot of coffee. I ran 4 cycles of water before my first pot of coffee, and that worked well to remove that initial burning plastic smell you get from any new coffee maker. I could not be happier with this machine. ... show more

  • wasteful and poor quality
Color: Silver Black
It requires too much coffee grounds (2 Tablespoons per 5 oz. of water); water only drips in center of grounds, (makes weak coffee), carafe lid won't come off to drip dry upside down in dishrack; carafe opening is too narrow for my hand to wash and wipe clean, then wipe dry the inside; the mesh filter allows too much water to flow straight through, making weak coffee and allowing fine "coffee ground dust" through into carafe and then my cup. Instructions say to clean by rinsing with water! Hahaha. It can heat water to pour into old-fashioned manual cone with paper filter. Waste of money! ... show more
