Excellent product, works as advertised except: plates are removable and easily cleaned, but NOT dishwasher safe. Plates are aluminum, the exposed aluminum corrodes in the dishwasher, leaving a black residue that stains hands and towels. Best to hand wash and avoid the corrosion.     • Inexpensive and useful
I had this in my cart for a long time, thinking about whether I would really use it or not. I found it on sale and pulled the trigger. I find that I actually use it at least once or twice a week. I bought it to make burgers since I am not crazy about having to clean up the grease splatter when I use my cast iron skillet but honestly, I am still on the fence about whether I like how the burgers come out. Since there is no temperature control, you just season the meat, throw it on the grill and wait. The meat is cooked and has the grill lines cooked in but you don’t get the same char (flavor) as cast iron. What this grill does really well is grilled sandwiches, especially grilled cheese. The way I do it is to initially grill the bread separately so the butter can melt in. Then I take them off, build my grilled cheese and put it back to brown. I think if you tried to start with butter on both sides of a sandwich, the butter on the bottom half would run into the grease tray so less than ideal. I have also done pork chops and was fairly pleased with how they came out. The grill plates are removable which makes clean up easy. The top and bottom have no locking mechanism so storage can be a little challenging. I find it easier to just leave it on my counter.     • Great little electric grill - use it about 5-6 times a week!
VERY pleased with this George Foreman electric grill. I cook burger patties on it - mostly bison burger patties. I heat it up 3 minutes, put the garlic salt and pepper seasoned patties on it, two at a time, and set the timer for another 3 minutes. I like my meat very well done, and this works perfectly for me. The drip pan catches all of the fat and extra juices, and the patties are always cooked evenly. I may try it for grilled sandwiches in the future, but right now I am not eating any bread items. It appears to be well made, is a breeze to clean up, and takes up very little room on my counter. The non-stick surface is a "piece of cake" to clean, too! Very happy with our purchase! ... show more

Great alternative to an outdoor grill, especially for a condo or apartment. Heats up quickly without being smokey. Easily grills hamburgers and other items. Cleans up quickly and effortlessly. Only deficiency is grease catcher doesn't securely attach to the grill so be careful handling it.

Skip a day of fast food and use your money towards this! The best $40 bucks spent EVER! Frozen burgers cook plump & juicy, raw chicken cooks in 5 mins, hotdogs with perfect grill marks, sandwiches with the most perfect EVEN buttery crispness! I got this so my 11 year old could season meat and cook fresh meals (instead of prepackaged meals with tons of sodium!) and we use it multiple times a day! Fast food used to feel inevitable with my busy schedule and working 2 jobs, now I can make a delicious fresh low fat & sodium meal in less than 10 mins. And the clean up is crazy easy! Just wipe it off with a papertowel or wet sponge while it's still hot. And voila! Idk how we survived this long without it! ... show more

    • Cooks perfectly, non stick is flawless.
This purchase replaced a decades old Forman which we purchased when the item first hit the market. It never was really non stick, which is why I suppose that it came with a plastic scraper. This new one is almost magical. A salmon filet and a chicken thigh with skin came off the grill just using a fork to lift them off. Cleaning was a breeze - no soaking or scrubbing. Now there is more meat on my fork than on the grill plate. Buy this grill without reservations. It works perfectly and is much more convenient than firing up the broiler or the outdoor grill. Five minutes or so and voila, a hot meal. The fat and grease are caught in a plastic receptacle that you dump in the trash and everything gets washed with siap and water. I have used a Forman for years, and I hope that this one lasts as long as my old one did and stays non stick for a long time. ... show more
