Got this chair for my Mom's birthday last June, wanted to wait to write a review to see how it held up. It's working great, there have been no problems at all so far, and she loves it. The chair does lean back very far, so if that's not what you like, I'd keep that in mind. My mom loves that feature though so its not a problem for me. There's a little bit of squeaking, but thats all the deterioration I would note. The material is very good quality and has held up beautifully, it still looks the same as when I purchased it. The seat of the chair is real leather, and the back of it is PU leather (I believe, I may be wrong, the product details say more i think). The covers of the cushions on the back have a zipper for easy removal for cleaning, but she hasn't done that yet, so I can't say how well that aspect works. Its pretty easy to clean with a towel or rag though, is what she's said (shes a neat freak, so she really wanted something that was easy to clean) Overall, it was a great purchase which I absolutely do not regret, well worth the price. She loves it, and I love that she loves it. It's high quality and has held up well.

This chair is very sturdy, comfortable, and well made. The leather seems like it will last a long time. I didn't think it was as hard to assemble as others have mentioned. I screwed the bolts into their holes prior to lining up the back and the arm rests to make sure that the treads worked ok. Also made sure to only tighten each screw about 1/2 way until every screw was was in place. Fully tightening was then easy. I have 2 negatives and therefore not 5 stars. First, I don't think the chair gives much lumbar support. I ended up buying a strap on cylindrical shaped lumbar support and that made a big difference. (I have a cheap office chair that has an adjustable lumbar support behind the fabric chair back and can be raised or lowered to fit in the small of your back.) Second, the arm supports are fixed in place. They do not raise or lower. I found they were too low so I bought strap on Memory Foam armrest cushions that raise the height by 2 inches. After those 2 modifications the chair is perfect.

I was looking all over for a nice looking mid century modern office chair that would be comfortable enough for work from home (all day on zoom) and reading in my study. This chair fit the bill and appears to be better made than other look-alikes at this price range. Customer service was efficient and communicative and the chair wasn’t hard to put together. I did it myself in about an hour and half. And I’m not handy. The chocolate color is beautiful and rich, and I’m excited about the upgrade of my seating apparatus. I will note the range of motion (vertical height) isn’t the most expansive but it seems to work for my adjustable standing desk. Great value for the money considering my $200 office chair was uncomfortable to sit on and similar styles of this chair range closer to $600+

I'm happy (I mean - not existentially - but with the chair). It came just 2 days after I ordered it, well ahead of the expected date, packed well and undamaged. Assembly: Others who've mentioned difficulty assembling the chair are not exactly wrong. There are about 12 large hex bolts, which screw right into nuts embedded inside the sides of seat and back cushions. It was difficult to get a few of the bolts into the nuts because of chair padding that got in the way. I had to cut some of it very carefully (avoiding the leather) to access the nut. Once I did that, everything was fine. Just don't tighten any of the bolts before they're all in and it'll be fine. The chair is good looking. It is heavy and has a solid metal base, which I didn't realize was important until I compared it with the plastic-based Staples chair I've used for a few years. The caster wheels roll smoothly over my rug. The seat and back are firm and supportive. They're not cushy, however, so don't purchase if you want that. It adjusts for height and nothing else (I think). I expect to use it for a long time.

The top of the arms are leather but the sides are not. I am already seeing cracks in the material. Its much thinner that the top leather pieces. Disappointing

UPDATE!!!! My initial impressions of the chair was very positive. HOWEVER this has changed dramatically after discovering a major design, material, and assembly issue with the mounting of the padded arms. Please see the images attached for reference to the following comments. I soon discovered small and short screws appearing on the floor. I did not realize they were used to mount a thin metal plate to the padded arm. The screws were working loose from the pushing force I would apply on the arm to assist me getting up and out of the chair. Unfortunately multiple screws fell out from one arm and I ended up bending the mounting plate downward. I was able to bend it back flat and install larger and longer screws all around as replacements. To help with locking the screws down I also applied Gorilla Glue on the screw threads before tightening them down. Now for constructive criticism of the padded arm assembly itself and the material/parts used: 1. The metal mounting plate for the padded arm is too thin, especially in comparison to the other parts used in the overall assembly. 2. The mounting screws are obviously too small in both size and length. Compounding the ability to mount the metal plate securely to the base of the arm is likely due to the wood(?) or whatever type of material used is also too thin and soft in hardness, preventing the required amount of torque that can be applied for a tight mounting of the metal plate. Warning! Any current owner or anyone considering to purchase this chair should inspect these screws for any looseness or to be missing on a regular basis. Better yet I strongly recommend the replacement of these screws to a larger and longer overall size ASAP being very careful not to over tighten the original or replacements to cause them to strip themselves out. You have now been duly warned. Good Luck! I rarely purchase an intem of this type without a personal examination and test sitting. However I have been using an awful chair in my home office for hours lately and needless to say it sucks. It causes fatigue, aches and pains due to poor seat cushioning and lack of any back support as no cushions are present at all. I decided to pull the trigger and purchase this model in the light brown color which I am happy to report is beautiful IMHO. As others have mentioned getting some of the screws aligned and started was a chore, even when following the instructions to not fully tighten them up until all screws have been started. The video makes it appear to be a piece of cake and easy to do...WRONG! However once all the screws have been aligned and started the rest of the assembly process goes pretty smoothly. WARNING!!! Please see the image included of a cleaning cloth used to wipe down all the chrome surfaces of the chair. This was the 2nd cloth used. The 1st one was even more soiled and your hands will also get this black crap on them. I am so glad I did this before assembly as it it much easier to do beforehand and in a more thorough manner. It would be a bummer for this stuff to stain any of the upholstery material. I have found this chair to provide the proper support and level of cushioning I have been craving for too long. Get yourself one! You won't regret it.

This chair phenomenal! It is hands down the most comfortable desk chair I’ve sat in and it is made of well crafted materials that were well above my expectations. I can’t imagine how an actual HM chair at ten times the price is worth so much more. The assembly is straight forward and it has clear and well printed instructions. Some might find it helpful with another set of hands. Overall, I’m sooo happy I took a chance. I’m thrilled with this purchase. Thanks to all the other reviewers who were kind enough to share actual pictures with real descriptions.

I'm only 140LBS POUNDS. And I sat down one day and it just broke on me. I had it for 6 Month and really liked the chair. Until it just broke on me just now. I even fell over and hit my head. I'm pissed and not happy with the product. I've never had a chair do this to me before. The fact that I got hurt is what made me come on here to give it this review. NOT SATISFY.
