The media could not be loaded. I have an Anthbot Genie 5000, which I received after backing it on Kickstarter. I paid for the product, though at a discounted price compared to the current retail cost. WiFi connectivity is a bit finicky (won't get signal in areas a smartphone gets great signal) but that's the only item of note so far. Mapping was easy, though if your lawn is not very plain you should expect to need to add exclusion zones. For the first few days it was basically "run the device until it gets stuck, go find it, and map an exclusion zone." The more of those I added, the better it did. It definitely had issues with taller flowering weeds in my yard that grew up before I could get it to mow them. I had to whip them down manually, after which the genie did fine adapting. Honestly, so far I'm pretty pleased I bought it! It seems to do everything I'd want, including navigate my complicated, extremely-not-flat yard. It occasionally, but not always, has an issue with areas between two exclusion zones where it manages to cross the border. Once this happens it goes into shutdown until a human rescues it. This seems like a failsafe, and is hard to fault, though it would be nice if I could set the behavior for each exclusion zone (something like "backout safe" vs "shutdown") because most of mine are stumps vs pits. Because of these peccadillos I often refer to it as "my idiot child." After adding exclusion zones the thing does a pretty darn good job of just mowing, every day. Breaking the lawn down into smaller zones and doing a rotating schedule has greatly improved its ability to keep my lawn looking great.

Tested genie 3000. Overall very satisfied with its performance! I purchase the robot because we have a baby and taking care of our ~1 acre yard is time consuming. It saves me a lot of time (and sweat) since I have owned it. So far, I have only tested it on my backyard. The backyard is ~0.7 acre, fenced, moderately covered with trees, has an above ground pool, a playground, a small vegetable garden fenced with chicken mesh, and couple of drainage pipes near house. Its terrain is quite bumpy and tilted from back to front. It takes the robot 2 charges to finish mowing my backyard with cutting angle set from left to right and cutting height of 45mm, on a sunny day. It would take 3 charges when I set it front to back since it goes against the yard's slope. I did not time it exactly but I think it takes somewhere between 12-15 hours to finish the backyard, including charge time. So, 2 days basically since I only have it mowed daytime. Nighttime mowing would consuming more energy since it has to spend extra energy on lighting. I would say the robot's RTK antenna + camera vision combo works pretty decently. The robot stays accurately within its setup boundaries (map) and does a decent job in making sure that its mowing covers the whole map. It can easily avoid big enough objects on the yards, small fruit trees in my case. Seems to detect fine small objects too - I have several small garlic bushes and it manages to evade those. However, it fails to detect hole. Mine ended up getting stuck couple times before I fill the holes. The cut quality is pretty ok. The robot leaves behind nice neat cuts with good parallel pattern, though it not quite comparable to that of my mow tractor. This is my first mowing robot so I do not know how it performs compared to other robots but it certainly meets my desire. Plus, the price is certainly more competitive.
