  • Genie 600 review - update!
Size: 600㎡
Update 7/14: I'm changing my review from 3 to 5 stars. First of all, the support has been great; very responsive. Secondly, I've come to better understand these robot mowers. It appears that they all run for about an hour, and then go back to recharge. I originally thought they would mow in one pass, but I don't think any of them do this. Perhaps the trick is to break the yard into different zones, and do one zone at a time. This way, you don't have the mower running all day. So, I'm going to buy the mower again with this understanding. By the way, the app works great. I tried the Mammotion mower, and couldn't get the mapping to work : sent it back. Hello all, this is my review of the Genie 600 robot mower. The concept is good. Set-up wasn't difficult, and the mowing is pretty good. The only real issue I have is battery life. As I understand it, the 600 model is made for up to 900 square meters. My lawn area is 250 square meters. Should be a cinch for the battery to handle in one pass, right? Well, my latest mow required the mower to make two trips back to the charging station to recharge before finishing the lawn. The mower does this automatically, so that's good. It just seems to me that the battery should have more strength for such a small lawn as mine. If my lawn was the full 900 square meters, the mower might be running all the time! I reached out to support, and they indicated my experience was normal. Update 6/17: I ended up dismantling everything and returning the mower. ... show more

  • Sturdy and efficient
Size: 3000㎡
So far it's working perfectly. Takes about 7 hours to mow half an acre as it has to charge after about 4 hours, but overall it seems to be a good unit. If something changes, I will update my review.

  • Starts strong, then became incredibly annoying Starts strong, then became incredibly annoying
Updated after 1 year of ownership. Let's start with the good stuff. This thing works pretty much out of the box, it's easy to setup and to create the perimeter for the area you want it to mow. The first run takes a while and once you create your zones it moves quicker. Because grass doesn't grow at the same speed everywhere in my yard this is really convenient. The machine itself is very quiet so you barely notice while it's working. Now the bad or annoying stuff. 1. If it gets stuck in the same spot over and over again it doesn't learn not to go there 2. It will randomly not charge even though it's on the charger. 3. Most annoyingly it will randomly error out saying it's suspended or in air (see photo) and then it does it over and over again, plan on spending the rest of the afternoon resetting it and randomly moving around for no reason. I would hands down buy an automatic mover like this one again, they make life easy and keep the lawn looking amazing. I am not sure I would get another Anthbot. Overall, I started happy with my purchase and once this one starts annoying me enough I will probably get another brand. I downgraded this to two stars because I get the suspension warning constantly now. It was even set off while on the charging pad. I basically have to monitor it all the time now. 1 year in. It's now a clear one star. I started getting a notification that I need to start paying in order for the robot to fully function and be accurate. After the last few rounds of mowing, it shows me on the map that it has completed an area but is leaving 3 foot wide strips in between where it is mowing. I don't know if it's because I am not paying the annual fee (one of the reason I got it was because it was not a subscription), or if it's because of the latest update. It's becoming quite an annoying machine, it gets stuck really easy, it's now making a clicking sound. The battery has lost a lot of it's ability to hold a charge. I can now say that if I decide to get another robotic mower it will not be from this company. Once again would I buy a robotic mower, yes, would it be this unit. Probably not, unfortunately I would have no idea if any other mower would do any better than this. But at this point I would take that risk. ... show more

  • Originally 5 stars amazing but bad support and failing equipment has soured my experience. Originally 5 stars amazing but bad support and failing equipment has soured my experience.
Size: 600㎡
Edit: well it’s been an almost a month but support finally came through. I would love to say that it was a positive experience but it was really an exercise in patience where you have to keep asking and following up. They did finally send a replacement, you just have to nag. Still, this is a better robot than the m9. It will get stuck less and give more consistent results in my opinion. First off, I love this thing. Or rather the idea of this. It's great! you just hit a button and it mows. It has some weirdness in setting it up. the app is janky and will occassionally just forget the mapping or something, but overall it has been a pretty good machine. However, 10 months later and I started getting issues with the RTK antenna. I had it mounted on the side of my house and know it is in a good position to stay connected, but the robot started getting lost and then it just stopped being able to mow because of an error. The RTK GPS light stayed red and nothing I would do would get the light to change back to green, along with the blinking GPS light on the robot itself. After climbing a ladder to check out the rtk I was shocked to discover the sound of water sloshing around inside and when I pulled the rubber gasket around the wire water poured out. not a dribble, either. it hadn't rained in a week, so I knew immediately that it was taking on water and holding it. Luckily, the rtk antenna has a 3 year warranty. Unfortunately, getting a hold of someone to help process the RMA requires a level of patience. it has as of today been 5 days and the most I've heard back was asking about my original order number the day after I emailed them. Yes other mowers are more expensive, and maybe they also have terrible customer support. And yes, when the robot works it works great. However, you must have a back plan if you want to keep your lawn mowed and you most likely will be in a position of waiting on support for weeks at a time while your grass just continues to grow. ... show more

  • Great product
Size: 600㎡
I know people have a problem with AI and electric machines, but this is one of the best purchases I've ever made. Set it up and sit in the shade while it does the work for you. I had to flip the blades after weeks of mowing the yard 2 times a week. It mows about 60 minutes and then returns to charge, after which it goes back to its last position and continues. It has had several updates to improve the software, so it only gets better each time. It may not be the best, but its certainly worth the price. If you will pay $3k plus for a riding mower, why would you not own a robot mower. ... show more

  • Cuts the grass really well
Device has worked great. Took about a month to get lawn level enough that device did not get stuck. Struggles sometimes when grass is longer to cut back to desired height. Also, first two devices I received had issues and the charge port melted. All that said, the grass has never looked better and it's nearly silent. ... show more

  • Must have Mower Must have Mower
A must-have here in the hot weather of Florida. Take some time to set up, depending on your yard and personal preferences. Best to add 1 to 3 inches to your boundaries to ensure the edges are clean. I have a pool, so I had to map that as a no-go area and other islands in the yard. You can schedule tasks by zone at your convenience. When it rains, the mower returns to its base and then resumes where it left off. The company has a Facebook webpage where you can submit your questions and request new features. Yes, they update their software based on what customers are seeing and wanting! Yeah, a company that listens. It's fun to have the neighbors and all their yardmen stand by to watch the mower in action. If they pick it up, it will sound an alarm! I bought it from my yard, but it can also cover my neighbors', as she's having surgery, and it's a simple way to help out. In the video, you will see a blue dog house that was a separate purchase on Amazon, which I modified rather than paying $200 for the mower base. The most important thing is to ensure that you attach the pole with the GPS to the base charger, so that you do not move it once you have mapped the yard. (The mower can self-map, or you can manually map.) Be sure to set up the base charger with clearance, meaning don't put it up against your house, as the house can block the signal. • Accurate and Quiet RTK Mower – Great, If Your Yard Fits the Requirements
Size: 600㎡
This is my second robotic mower. My first one was purely vision-based, and while it worked decently, it often got confused, lost track of its location, and couldn’t find its way back to the charging station—ending up stranded and beeping for help. That led me to try the Genie 600, which uses RTK positioning. In theory, that should solve the navigation issue—and it mostly does. Let me point out some features I like: - RTK positioning is far more reliable than pure image-only systems (non Lidar). It knows where it is, and that's a major upgrade. - Extremely quiet operation – I can run it at night with no disturbance, perfect for fully enclosed yards with fences. - The app is fairly easy to use, and the ability to schedule or control mowing from your phone is convenient. It also integrated AI and I can easily ask questions with a relative accurate response immediately! - The cutting results are good when the mower follows the complete route. Auto height adjustment by App setting is a great feature. Real-World Challenges (Even in a Simple Lawn): - I’m using this mower in a flat, 3500 sqft backyard that’s fully covered with grass—no trees, no garden beds, no obstacles. Still, I ran into some limitations: - The RTK base station and charging dock cannot be placed against walls, so I had to pull out a long extension cord just to position them properly in open space. - The spot with strong GPS reception was too far from the house’s Wi-Fi, resulting in frequent disconnection issues. - Even in this clear, open yard, the GPS indicator light sometimes flashes, and the mower occasionally reports error codes or stops unexpectedly, requiring me to manually move it and reset at the dock. - In some cases, the app showed mowing was completed, but 1–2 feet of grass along two lawn edges were missed, likely due to a shift in its tracking. Suggestions for Improvement: - A better signal setup guide and diagnostics would really help users during installation, for instance, I placed the RTK right next to the wall and the RTK receiver shows a solid green light indicated the great signal, and I was able to setup the map, but got many inconsistent errors during the moving procedure indicated to the weak connection. Please add imperial units (feet/inches) in the app settings for U.S. users—it’s more intuitive here. Summary: Despite these issues, I still think the Genie 600 has a lot of potential. The RTK technology is a step forward compared to vision-only mowers, and if you have an open lawn with strong Wi-Fi and GPS signal zones, it could work very well for you. It’s not a plug-and-play solution for every yard, but if you're willing to invest the time to optimize placement and settings, it can save a lot of mowing effort—and it's impressively quiet while doing the job. ... show more
