When I bought my home the previous owners only left me a single remote for the garage door opener. Having two cars made it difficult to juggle cars so I researched the various remotes looking to ensure compatibility with my unit. I chose this over one of the smaller key fob remotes as I wanted to mount it on my sun visor and also read reviews that indicate the range on the key fob version of the remotes can be a little limited in comparison to the larger units. This device supports three generations of Intellicode (Git-1, GIt-2, & Git-3) and is significantly cheaper here than at big box stores. This remote is identical to the original and was easy to program once I found the button on the lift. I was slightly disappointed that it wouldn't let me program all three buttons for my single door, I had been hoping to just hit any button to open the door, instead of fumbling for a specific button, but I guess it's just a limitation of the lift. Each time I attempted to code a new button to the same lift the last button was disabled and ceased to function. This remote works great and can easily open the door from the end of my driveway.

We bought a house recently with a garage door opener that looks to be at least 15-20 years old. It only came with one remote and so I wasn't sure how possible it would be to get a new one. I was delighted when we received this and I was able to program it relatively easily and quickly. I had the same experience as other reviewers here where the single brail button was the only button to work with our opener. That was totally fine for our use and I discovered it on my own in a matter of a minute or two so it wasn't much hassle, although it would have been helpful if it was more explicit in the instructions. In my opinion it's not worth deducting a star for -- it's a great price and it's awesome to be able to find a remote that still works with our ancient opener. We've had no issues so far, the range is good and it seems reliable.

This is a very good purchase. My original Genie one-button remote lost its range to the point in order to open the garage door I had to get out of the car and hold the remote near the door window. Yeah, so then what's the point of having a remote! I bought this 3 button remote after reading all the positive reviews..and I'm glad I did. It took all of two minutes to program the remote and that included setting up the ladder to press the learn code button on the garage door opener motor. The learn button was easy to find and was depicted exactly as it looked in the instructions that came with the remote. I pressed the learn button, then pressed the remote button, waited a couple seconds and pressed the remote button again. Then I tried it and had no issues opening the garage door. I used the first button (with the raised single dot), just guessed that it was the correct remote button. This is a good remote.

Tremendous price savings over box retailers and greater specificity, e.g. can buy a cheaper, more specific remote instead of a universal remote that may cost more. It does come with a battery, which is nice. Programming went very well and instructions are included. Working with two different models of garage openers, I was nonetheless able to program one remote to work on both of them. I had to do a lot of Google research first on model numbers and so forth, but it did work on both. Range on these is okay, not fantastic. The metal clip on the back isn't securely fastened (I think you can remove it if you want), so it doesn't fasten as tightly to the visor as I would like. As for the vendor(365garagedoorparts), I had no issues. Price as stated was fantastic. Standard shipping speed was reasonable, packing was appropriate (bubble-pak envelope). I have already done business with them again.

Dead simple and works great. Programmed this to work with my Genie Promax Chain Glide in under 30 seconds. Instructions were straightforward and it easily picked up the range. This is powered by a 12V battery, like this one Duracell MN21B2PK Watch / Electronic/ Keyless Entry Battery, 12 Volt Alkaline which seems to work much better for range than other controller I had that ran on little button cell batteries. Also got one that mounts near my door and works on the same garage door, Chamberlain Clicker Universal Garage Door Opener Keyless Entry Keypad KLIK2U-P2, Works with Chamberlain, LiftMaster, Craftsman, Genie and More, Security +2.0 Compatible The one star reduction is because of how loose the metal attachment is. I use this to clip onto the sun visor of my car, and the remote vibrates with the car causing a super obnoxious sound. This is because the metal attachment to the back is loose fitting, it doesn't fall off, it's just enough to rattle.

Great directions. Great opener. My Genie garage opener is one of the older models and the included instructions made programming the opener easy. One recommendation. If this is your only opener or you only have a few openers it is easier to zero out your garage opener before going through the trouble of finding out the hard way that your memory is full on your garage door opener. On my garage door there is no indication that you have exceeded your memory and a new garage door remote simply won't work. After trying to program to the remote the first time, I checked the battery, and then zeroed my garage door opener. I'm Amazon Prime customer and was not compensated in any way for this review.

Great garage Door opener for Genie Garage Door Openers .... come with directions but look on youtube for your model and it shows you how to install easily.....basically its pressing and holding a button on top of your Garage and then holding down one of the 3 buttons on the remote...very fast...and you don't have to reprogram your other remotes if you have for another car, just the new one!
