  • A good all around cleaner with a few minor issues.
I've had this for several months now. I honestly wanted a 3100+ PSI but missed a deal and got this one at a great price. Overall i'm very pleased. It sets up quickly and runs well. Power is good and the adjust on the handle wheel is awesome. The hose is somewhat annoying as it doesn't flex well so storing is not great. The turbo tool is the absolute best but the foam sprayer not so much. So, it won't cut a brick in half but it can still do some damage, which in my case is may be a good thing. ... show more

  • Works Great
First of all, the washer was shipped by Amazon which allowed me to track delivery right to my doorstep. (Even that stop at Wendy’s). Tracking is a huge plus especially with high cost items being left unattended. The washer was well packaged and no damage found. Assembly was easy and took about 15 minutes. 10 minutes if not being distracted by a cup of dark roast. The only adjustment I made that worked well was to zip tie the soap extraction tube to the frame. Doing so avoids any possibility of snagging it under a wheel or having it contact the hot motor. Be careful not over tighten the ties. Adding the supplied oil was easy. It takes the entire 16 ounces. Just use a funnel. Operationally the washer exceeded my expectation. Started right up with the choke engaged. The soap option worked well and there is no need to remove soap tube when rinsing. Soap will not be extracted if you select rinse on the wand. In general terms, all I needed to use was the black soap and green medium nozzle for vinyl, wood and brick. Water down then soap surface, wait a few minutes then rinse. The results we amazing. Final thoughts. Wear ear protection, read the manual and change the oil after 5 hours of use. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • A Few 2017 Updates Put This Pressure Washer On Top!
If you are looking good for a pressure washer for use around your home, look no further! The Generac Speedwash 6882 has to be the best sub-3000 psi pressure washer I've ever used. Shipping/packaging: The pressure washer shows up in the Generac box with product all over it. If you are concerned about theft, you may want to be home for delivery. Mine shipped a day late, but it was supposedly a carrier issue. It ships without oil in the unit, which I appreciated since USPS left the box laying sideways on my front porch. Assembly: Extremely easy. Just unbox, attach the handle, hose storage hook, and wand holder. Then use the provided paper funnel to fill the engine with the included oil. The oil comes in this cool little pouch like a big manly Capri Sun and it was the perfect amount to fill the reservoir. Operation: I was able to test the variable pressure on the wand along with the 2 fan tips on a dirty painted deck. It started in 2 pulls and purred like a kitten. There's enough of a frame lip to hold it down with your toe as you pull start it and it doesn't take much effort at all. The variable pressure proved to be incredibly helpful. I had the wood deck setting selected for the majority of the deck but I could knock out stubborn stains by cranking it up to the concrete (full pressure) setting. Being able to change pressure on the wand was incredibly convenient. Connecting and disconnecting the hoses was very easy with large plastic knobs on each screw fitting. The high pressure hose is another benefit over most competitors. It is incredibly flexible and easy to unravel and put up. Ergonomics: The large wheels make it very easy to roll around. Its 57 lb weight makes it very manageable to move it up and down stairs. The inverted throttle handle seemed weird to me until I started using it. I had no hand fatigue at all in the 30 minutes I ran it. Customer service: Generac has a live chat on their website which I've used several times to ask about this washer. They are very responsive and helpful and I get the sense that they stand behind their products and would definitely help with any product issues. Additional items worth considering: 12" longer lance for taller people or reaching high spots. The Wen brand pressure washer cover sold on amazon is a great fit and will keep the dust off of your new precious toy. Generac power broom for larger surfaces. Summary: I'm typically very critical of my tools but I'm having a hard time finding anything wrong with this pressure washer. It's portable, it's solid, and the pressure adjustment wand is awesome. It comes with the necessary nozzles plus some and the customer service is great. I will update my review after testing the rest of the attachments on a few more applications around the house. Feel free to ask me questions! ... show more

  • Ok Unit, some annoyances
Coming from an electric unit, of course this blows away the electric when it comes to power. For me, it is just the right amount of PSI for cleaning. What I dont like right away is the fact you have no where to put your foot on the unit when you crank it. You either have to step on the wheel or frame of the unit otherwise the whole machine comes with you when you pull the cord. Thats probably the most annoying thing with this unit. The dial wand is a bit gimmicky, but it does bring added control to pressure even though all you have to do is get closer or further if you want to control the power. They include a quart of oil with a paper cone funnel. The quart of oil is in a pouch and of course ended up getting spilled because its flopping all over the place when you go to pour in the oil. I dont like the wand holder. Its a bit wobbly when in place and the end of the wand is sticking out needlessly causing more storage space needed due to the tip. I will probably rig something up to store the wand straight up and down instead. The Turbo Nozzle is pretty nice.. That is extreme cleaning right there although it wouldnt remove baked in paint off the ground. It did remove other paint spots and gunk my electric wouldn't remove though. The quality of the unit seems good, it feels solid. Minus the few negatives it seems like a good purchase. ... show more
