I like so many aspects of this Tripod. I am a YouTube Creator constantly looking for better filming equipment solutions. I create videos related to radio controlled cars and trucks, among others. One of my equipment challenges is filming the building process, illustrating repairs, and reviews. The challenge is of course lighting, but also getting the correct angle to really get in close with the shot so my viewers can really visually see what I am doing. This product is perfect for this application. I really had not seen this product before or knew about it prior to Amazon’s recommendation email. I immediately recognized this Amazon suggestion as valuable to me. More often than not the suggestions I receive from Amazon are items closely related to my recent searches and purchases. In fact, most often products are exactly the same with similar prices. In this case, the Tripod was different and a great different, and at a great price. I shop value, and often photography equipment is with very expensive, or relatively inexpensive. The problem with the inexpensive photo equipment is usually the quality. Functional yes, but typically not long lasting particularly if set up and broken down often and taken to location. The expensive equipment is most often great quality and long lasting; however, not a great value because of the huge markup. This tripod is a larger mid priced product with exciting functional features requiring correct weighting to stabilize, particularly the excellent tilting feature. There is always a trade off between stability and desire for light weight products. Trade offs are most apparent in lesser expensive photography equipment. Retailers offer many inexpensive products with same or similar top features unfortunately quality, testing, and design suffer. The manufacturer of this product absolutely got it right. So what exactly is right about this Trasposition/Tilt/Pivot/Tripod/Monopod? Value! Listed below are the features, aspects, and factors creating value. 1. Shipping was quick (actually 2 days) 2. Saved $20 off listed price using offer presented directly below product listing from page. 3. Tripod came with everything stated, ball head, tripod, and a carrying bag. 3. Compact design fits nicely in carrying bag, and most importantly I was able to easily fit back into carrying bag after setup and tear down. 4. Intial quality is great, aluminum expandable legs/poles use twist locking and unlocking, poles dropped to position correctly needing only gravity. Poles lock securely. Removable Rubber feet consistant between all legs. Monopole convertable. 5 Nice collapsible design, adjustable leg positons, center lock, 360 ball swivel head with level, 25” collapsed 75” max height, center column rotates 360 degrees. 6 Transverse center column, locks, can be extended varying length, AWSM. In sum, the invovative design coupled with quality at reasonable price create great value, highly recomend!

I was given this product for my opinion and review by Geekoto in January. I have now used it in every fashion that I know of fairly extensively, and relied on it as my primary tripod since then. This is probably not the fastest, or most stable tripod on the market, but for it's price range, it may be the best. I am not a tripod connoisseur yet, but I have tested and relied on several tripods, including some rather expensive Italian brands. So far, this is the best tripod I have ever laid hands on, and not by small margins. If I had to buy another tripod, or recommend one to a friend, it would be difficult to not choose this one. This tripod has effortlessly supported my full frame Canon DSLR with an extended battery grip and large telephoto lenses, even in portrait orientation. It's strength may be it's greatest feature. As I said, it may not be the fastest on the market, but I have shot events with it, running around constantly and changing camera, lenses, angles, heights, and orientations. Based on my experience; maybe it isn't the tripod for shooting a $15,000 event, but it will get the job done, and it will do it effectively and smoothly.

Before getting this tripod I used a Mefoto Roadtrip Tripod for 5 years. Which I really enjoy, and trust using. These are my thoughts on the tripod after using it for a 2-3 weeks now. I mostly do landscape and cityscape photography professionally. This is a very versatile tripod, with a good price. Pros: Gets very tall. Gets very low with included short column. The column pivots which can be very useful for macro and product photography. Ballhead is good. No shifting when locking it down. The finish is good. The leg locks/latches are spring loaded which nicer than than push pull ones. It is sturdy tripod The legs lock without issue. For the size of tripod it is not heavy. comes with carry bag and accessories. Cons but not deal breakers: The center column is not locked in place. When you tighten down the center column lock you can still turn the column. It takes a bit of force, so it's not like the wind will turn the center column when tightened down. Just something to be aware of. The column nut can get a little sticky sometimes. I am hoping that will go away in the time. It would be awesome if the center column nut was more like the one on the roadtrip tripod. I wish there was a softer, gripping material on the ballhead lock. I plan on leaving the short column on most of the time so I will be putting a drop of breakable lock tight on the bolt that holds the ballhead to the center column. When the short column is placed on the tripod. The locking plate gets pinched between the legs, not allowing the legs to fully close, so I replaced the locking plate with a smaller one. Other than those minor issues, the tripod is great.

This is the best tripod that you can find on the maket for several reasons. One it is incredibly lightweight compared to any other tripod that I have tried out and it pack into a small lightweight bag for easy transportation. Two the tripod has a extendable feature on the head so that you can put the camera on and film high movement activities and sports especially football and basketball

I needed a sturdy tripod for a DSLR camera and the one I had laying around was too flimsy to trust. While this one cost a little more than I originally wanted to spend, the features it had made me get it anyway, and I have no regrets. This thing is solidly built. I like the twist release on the legs rather the the more common flip locks. The 360 adjustment is really *smooooth* when you turn it. The horizontal arm option is what really sold me on getting this one. It works out great for macro photography. Between the leg adjustments, the ball mount, the horizontal arm option, being able to flip the center post upside down, and the 360 degree spin, you can lock a camera into any position you need. The most difficult thing about using this tripod is figuring out which screw to loosen when you want to make an adjustment - there are so many! The twist locks on the legs and on the center post took me a while to get used to as there is a gap between when you start turning and when it engages to start releasing. I'm sure it's by design, but just not something I've experienced before. The tripod has a good amount of height to it, and it looks great too. This is currently my favorite piece of camera equipment that I own.

I recently purchased this Geekoto tripod for long exposure and astro-photography. Having just retired an old, cheap, aluminum tripod I was looking forward to using something a little sturdier and more reliable and this thing did not disappoint! The package was received promptly and in perfect condition. I have to say I'm a big fan of the Geekoto style. The sleek orange and black box was attractive enough to warrant a photo before diving in to the un-boxing. As with all of my other Geekoto gear the carrying case deserves an honorable mention here, having plenty of room so you won't need to cram anything to fit, and the shoulder strap is rugged and long enough to actually be used! I absolutely love that a tripod this large will collapse to such a small size. It's not any taller than my camera bag so it fits conveniently on the side without making it sit awkwardly when set down. I will say I was expecting it to be a little bit lighter, but the overall sturdiness makes up for the extra weight in my opinion. A design feature I absolutely love is the spring loaded leg-hinge clips, my old unit did not have this and it was definitely a pain! The shining star here, though, turned out to be the ball head, which is solid enough to support full size DSLR and lens in the vertical position no problem. I would absolutely recommend this tripod to any amateur or professional looking to get a fantastic piece of equipment for the price!

I have purchased this tripod over a year ago, and finally decided to share my thought. Generally speaking, this is relatively sturdy aluminum tripod, high quality, very light, and very compact once folded. I was using it with large camera body of 1.5lb, and the large lens of 3.5lb. It supported the wait easily, and I am sure it is capable for more. This tripod is also very easy and quick to assemble and disassemble. As a bonus, you can easily convert it to monopod, if required. However I did not like the supplied ball head, it is total garbage to my opinion. After some research I was able to find a good and inexpensive replacement - NEEWER Fluid Tripod Head. All in all, I am happy with the tripod, and can recommend it.

It's super easy to adjust on the fly with the tool-free design. - adjustable height, up to 75" How much higher would you want to get? - Works vertically and horizontally I love using this tripod for smooth tilt and pan shots!
