I have to admit, figuring out laptop setups when you juggle multiple screens, webcams and lights can be a pain, and flexibility can be a good thing. This tripod is my latest attempt in trying to get some order in the chaos... To be fair, I was disappointed originally, as I got the tripod for my portable monitors, only to realize though that it will only work for monitors that have a VESA mount - something that my portable monitors don't have. So, please keep that in mind. Instead, I used this one for my Logitech webcam, which was in dire need of a taller tripod than the one I had it on. So far, it looks like a great match for my setup, solving a problem that I've had for a while (a shorter tripod sitting on a stack of books...) I like the design for the webcam, as it takes less space than a traditional tripod, but, to be fair, in retrospect I don't know if I would have trusted that same design, stability-wise, for a monitor. Still, a win in my case.

This is a pretty nifty stand considering it uses vesa rather than some kind of a large clamp, like a lot of them do Immediately upon opening, I could see that the parts were of high quality and there was a lot of pride taken in creating this product. Everything goes together perfectly. It's extremely stable and works exactly as expected.

The clamp failed to open wide enough for a 15 inch portable monitor. Can barely reach around a 12 inch tablet

The media could not be loaded. First of all, this does not come with VESA plate that would help you to be able to mount the iPad on the stand. The plus is that it does come with phone mount, ball joint head, tripod and VESA mount along with screws that will help you to mount the iPad more secure to the tripod stand. The tube is carbon fiber and ball head is steel, the tripod feel secured due to wide foot space in which it spread more wide which mean less chance of Ipad or iphone to tip over.
