After much trial and error, this is a great espresso maker! Customer support was extremely helpful in resolving issues. Some things I found that others might find helpful: 1. After setting up your machine, if water isn’t coming out make sure the portafilter is properly in place. The seal can be very stiff at first and it can take some working back and forth to get it fully engaged. I suspect there is some kind of safety switch in there that until it’s fully engaged water won’t move thru machine. 2. If after the first use it only pulls half shots, then take off the portafilter and rinse it out. The little holes at the bottom where espresso comes out can become partially sealed with dried espresso resulting in a partial shot. I resolved this issue by turning it upside down and running water through it. This is a very good espresso maker for the price. Customer Support via email at the email address in the package was great, responded within 1-2 business days. Would I buy again? Yes.

The media could not be loaded. I like how small and compact it is. It stores nicely under my cabinet. Machine is made of plastic. Mille steamer is super hot and I haven’t figured out how to lower the temp but it works great. Photo of shots has 2 espresso shots in each glass. I thought it was weird they were different amounts of liquid. Overall pretty easy to use. I like the price and abilities for my first espresso machine purchase. Next time I will probably spend more money and get a better made device.

Yes, I purchased this espresso machine. Why a ONE STAR RATING? Because is showed up at my doorstep on time. I never got the machine to work so I can’t rate the operation. I contacted Amazon and they referred me to the manufacturer but Amazon did reply that if I was asking for a refund it would only be for approximately 80% of the purchase, that must be paid prior to any deal or delivery. Seeing as though Amazon is not in the business of losing money payment up front is understandable. I did not see anywhere that refunds would be 80% of the already paid purchase price. Maybe we should only be responsible to pay 80% of the price of the coffee maker and if we like it we can then pay the remaining 20%. This will never happen. I did try to get the machine to operate the next day again only to get the same result. The coffee maker, or “Espresso Maker”, is not a maker of anything but frustration. I will not rate this product as I can’t get it to work. My response it to be as far away from this manufacturer and any of its products. This has been an awful experience and I feel I paid to receive a broken product and will eventually pay a 20% fee to experience this whole debacle. Ughhh…..(RANT)

I’ve had this espresso maker for 1.5 years. I brewer at least 2-3 cups a day (at minimum, lots of coffee drinkers in the house). I can’t believe it has not broke yet. It works just like new.

After 5 months of use review - Will still stick to the five star review. Going great after 5 months of everyday use. I must say that we already got the full return of our investment for this machine as we make coffee twice everyday and it never disappoints delivering the consistent taste and quality coffee. I'm using this Espresso machine since last 2 months twice everyday and couldn't have asked for anything better for the price I paid. Both coffee and latte are done so nicely, exactly like any big brand in market. I'm just thinking how much money I wasted over the years to get the same taste. Best part is cleaning. It is so easy and fast to clean after every coffee preparation. I will highly recommend it.

After having the machine since 08/02/2024, the espresso maker developed a leak on 12/12/2024. The supply line is too short to the brew head, cracked, and leaked water outside the portafilter. I contacted Geek Chef on 12/12-12/18 and have yet to receive the part number. If your machine fails to supply water to the portafilter (dry grounds), it's likely you have a broken line. I am very disappointed with the lack of assistance from Geek Chef in providing a replacement line or at minimum providing the part number. Overall, I can not recommend this machine. The machine is appealing but falls short. My previous machine Krups XP4030 (2009-2024 RIP) developed a leak at the lever so I purchased this as a replacement. For any buyers of this model, please be certain to firmly press down on the water tank; otherwise, a water will leak at the back of the machine. The machine fails to produce a decent shot from ESE pods. Every attempt produces a watered down shot. As for pulling a double shot, they are weak as well. I found the best shot from using the double portafilter and selecting a single shot option. Each shot leaves a watery puck. In addition, the drip tray has a spot to rest the portafilter but the handle is too heavy and long to properly sit. My biggest concern is that the frothing wand drips water at the end of pulling a shot. I did not use the wand for pulling shots and only operated it as instructed on "Before First Use" manual. I placed a small container beneath it to determine the water volume. Also, the knob for frothing is plastic and feels very fragile. I will monitor for a few more days and if it continues, I will return it.
