I just received this. Although I've not used it yet I was surprised by the quality and build of this tool. It is easy to adjust, a good solid feel to it, and the lettering is easy to read. I'd recommend this.

Must have for MX on drum brakes, suspect that I had a out of round drum under 1min of checking with the tool found the high and low spots. And it chrome plate will last a lifetime of service.

This tool makes brake repair much easier when dealing parking brakes (drums) mixed with discs. It wasn't totally foolproof for the novice like myself, but it was exponentially easier and more accurate than using a tape measure like I initially tried (that failed miserably).     • If you work on drum brakes you need this tool.
Years ago while working at a busy wheel and tire shop I used to spend hours installing/removing/adjusting rear brake drums on full floater axles that had the hub and drum integrated. Wrestling on and off a 90lb assembly wore on my body. This tool saved me so much time and effort it has paid for itself hundreds of times over. The ability to get drum clearance within a few thousandths every single time day after day takes a lot of anxiety out of drum brakes. Great tool.
