A bit noisy but after a week I’ve gotten used to it. It does a great job at cooling my 500sqft apartment which is not open concept. It even cools around corners and in my bedroom which is fantastic. It is extremely heavy! I’m not that handy so I had it installed by someone but it didn’t look terrible difficult if you do happen to be. I love that you can just wash the filter. The instructions are inaccurate when it comes to getting it going on the app. You’ll want to download the SmartHQ app instead. ... show more

So far I am loving it. It really pumps out great amounts of cold air. it is the best AC I have had so far and I have had 5. Some people say it was heavy and it is heavy compared to some smaller AC's but I am 66 years old and lifted it into the window by myself.

This is a heavy unit, and while not difficult to install, took two people to get it installed in our upstairs bonus room due to the weight of it. The upstairs room already has its own central air unit, but it really struggles to cool down the room in the Texas heat. This 12,000 BTU unit really pumps out the cold air and cools the room (approx. 400 sq ft) down quickly. As expected from a standard AC window unit of this size (not an inverter type) it is fairly noisy. From about 3 feet away, I measured it running on high at around 67 decibels. I really did not expect to use the Wi-Fi connectivity and app, but it turns out to be a really useful feature. We have an elliptical trainer in the room, and before I exercise, I can remotely turn on the unit and set the temp using the app, so the room is nice and cool when I get up there to start. I had no issues getting the app installed on my iPhone 14 Pro and connecting the unit to the Wi-Fi. One thing to note is that the included wings and weather stripping, which look pretty standard for a window unit like this, are really not adequate enough to insulate the opening on either side and around the unit. We started with those, but it left the room smelling like the outside and we started getting bugs and creepy crawlies coming through the tiny gaps at night. I ordered foam insulation weather-stripping, weather-stripping tape, and radiant barrier sheeting to create a sealed barrier and insulate around the unit. On delivery, I'm not sure who actually delivered this unit (Amazon, UPS, etc.) but they left the box sitting on its side despite the clear arrows and text saying to keep it upright. Because of this, I let the unit sit for at least 24 hrs. before installing and running it and have had no issues. ... show more

I'm really amazed by how easy the entire setup process turned out to be, that QR code makes it a lot easier setting it up through the app and saved me so much frustration. The cooling performance has been absolutely great, dropping my room temperature way quicker than I expected, which is perfect for those sweltering summer afternoons when you just want instant relief. It's remarkably quiet when I have it running, I was bracing myself for the usual obnoxious humming and rattling, but this thing runs so smoothly that I sometimes forget it's even on.
