While this is heavy duty and looks like it might do a reasonably good job to bind my homeschool workbooks, I won’t be able to test them since it comes with zero binding combs! As a first time user, I would expect at least a handful of binding combs to show the user what works best in the machine. At this price, I would have expected a variety pack to accompany the binding machine. Not a great deal and certainly not a great value for your money! I got the GBC Binding Machine CB25 CombBind Punch and Bind Machine for binding large document printouts together, and it has been a dependable tool for that purpose. The manual punch can take effort when working with the upper end of its capacity, especially around twenty sheets at a time, but the large handle gives enough leverage to push down firmly without straining. Used this for a bunch of college lab manuals already. It’s kind of bulky but it punches clean and the handle feels strong. Took a sec to figure out the binding part but once I got it, it was smooth.
