The last time I used one of these was decades ago and I remember them as hard to use and clunky. This one redefined my expectations to a much higher bar! What I like about it: - It looks amazing. It's important in a shared office where customers may walk around, gives a modern look - It works amazing. I can make holes in paper of course but also in thick transparent covers and opaque back covers - I found it easy to use thanks to the large levers, giving a lot of leverage of effortless operation - It's intuitive to use if you are familiar with these - It will probably last a while, it gives a very solid feeling when operating. Very little play in the mechanism, very durable - It's accurate, holes are well lined up between cuts, providing consistent booklets What I like a bit less: - It's big. You better have some space reserved for it. But that's expected given the quality of this unit - Not very portable as such. If you are looking for a travel machine look again! I've never used one of these but I wanted to make workbooks and I thought this looked like a good option. It comes in a box with the binding machine and that is all. I was disappointed because it doesn't come with anything else. I thought maybe, because of a couple of the pictures, that it would come with a couple of binding combs but it doesn't. It's only the machine. It also comes with an instruction booklet and that gives decent directions. Like I said, I've never used one of these and I haven't used this one yet because I'm not sure which sizes of binding combs to use or if it will work with all sizes (I feel like it will probably work with any). The machine as a whole is nice looking and seems durable. The levers and covers seem decently made and it should last. I'm excited to try it but I'll have to wait until I get the other components to it. It's really cool though!

This is a big improvement over what I remember from my school days. Its like comparing the mimeograph machine with a modern copy machine—worlds apart. It has a pleasing appearance, It takes up 17x20 inches of space (bigger than my bedside table). I decided to put it on a sturdy rolling cart, that can be stored away and wheeled out for use. It works very well, with smooth action and easy to use handles and levers. It punches paper and cover, and inserts the plastic comb. If you haven’t used these before be sure to read the instructions. I am looking forward to being able to label the plastic binding. I seems durable. If it really does bind 300 pages I will be one of its greatest fans.

I give this a 3/5 due to it not coming with anything but the binding machine, which does work awesome but you don’t know what bindings to buy.i love the machine itself. It is super nice and I can use it to add to my business. So will buy again if needed. But I’ve got to find the bindings.

I’m delighted to have this comb binding punch machine. It works well and it quite easy to use. I had a different machine over 20 years ago that was 14 inches wide and 9 inches deep. I assumed this one would be about the same size. It is a quite noticeably larger at 17x20 inches. I was not expecting something with such a large footprint and its size makes it harder to store when it isn’t in use. The machine itself works well. It is very smooth. After I got rid of the old binding machine, I used a coil binding machine. Whereas coils have some good points, it is hard to put identification labels on the spines. A comb punch, like this one, have a surface that allows labeling, a real plus. This machine also has two trays. One collects the paper punched out, which is a great feature. The second is for storing combs. It will hold a few, but not many. It also has limited value since I found it isn’t deep enough to hold 1” combs. The item was really well packed. I can’t speak to the price because I haven’t purchased anything comparable for a long time.

The GBC CB15 CombBind machine seems to be of good quality. It feels well-made and sturdy, and it performs the punching and binding tasks as advertised. I have no complaints about the machine itself. However, a word of caution for potential buyers: the machine comes with nothing but the machine itself. I expected it to come with at least one or two sample binders to try it out, but it doesn't. This means you need to purchase all other pieces—the combs and covers—separately. It's not the best consumer experience, as you can't use the product right out of the box. While the machine is well-made, it's something to be aware of so you can order all the necessary supplies at the same time.

I chose this binding machine to replace an Ibico EB-19 that has to be over 25 years old. This GBC is leaps and bounds better than the Ibico! The cutting feature is smooth and allows for more paper to be cut at one time. The binding feature actually has a place to lay the stack and the teeth in the assembly open the combs much easier and wider than its predecessor. This machine even has a place to store combs, so that's a huge plus for me. The pull handle is more ergonomic than the large sideways-swinging arm I was accustomed to using. Highly recommended, especially for Amazon's low listed selling price.

The CB15 binding machine performed close to its advertised capacity and produced good results once the user got the hang of it. However, it didn’t come with any combs or starter supplies, which was unexpected and a bit disappointing. The build quality seems sturdy overall with only minor design concerns. For its price, it delivers fair value, especially for small office or occasional personal use. • Takes some practice to use smoothly • Didn’t include accessories as expected • Worked close to its rated capacity • Design is generally solid • Reasonable value despite missing items
