To prevent any staining on important documents, please punch with the included oiled paper first to remove the protective oil from the blades. Rayson’s binding machine features oiled cutting blades to prevent rust on the punch die. This video demonstrates binding with 14.3–25.4 mm wire spines, which uses a different technique than binding with 6.4–12.7 mm spines. If one side of the wire spine is slightly tighter or looser, a quick adjustment can balance it. Minor variations in the wire are normal and easily adjusted. Use double-loop wires with a 2:1 pitch—two holes per inch—for clean, even binding. This setup fits TD1222 perfectly. For 1/4"–1/2": For 9/16"–1": Set the dial to punching position while punching.This is very important for punching all of the holes clearly through. Slide the side guide and use the clear scale to match Letter, B5 etc. Repeatable setup keeps holes straight and your binding neat. Choose 2.5，3.5，or 4.5 mm to set the hole-to-edge distance. Use shallower for thin sets，deeper for thick stacks. Removable chip tray for easy cleanup. Hook the wire on the hanger to thread punched pages quickly and neatly. Then move the book to the closer and press in the closing gap to finish. Why are some holes not punched through? Make sure the knob is set to "PUNCHING" (align the white mark with the punching mark on the side dial). Why can't I punch small books? Adjust the paper guide to the markings shown on the right. Recommended sizes: Letter, B5, Junior Legal. Why can’t I bind thicker books? The maximum wire size is 1 inch. Do not bind more than 240 sheets (80gsm). Why are my holes not aligned? Make sure the paper is fully inserted and the paper guide is locked. Don’t punch too many sheets at once.
