This is far and away the best battery operated fan I have ever purchased! We have frequent power outages here and this fan keeps me cool during the summer heat with the truly powerful air movement. The fan is solidly built and heavy duty, it's been through several power outages and still hasn't needed new batteries. It blows air strong enough that I rarely need to use the high setting! It's slim and versatile, as the fan can be tilted within the frame completely around. This lightweight fan is so powerful! It’s absolutely perfect. Not too big, not too small. I can’t believe how much cool air this throws off. It’s almost too powerful if you have it on high and it’s close to you. You can use it with batteries or plug it in. I like using batteries because it makes it so much more portable. I highly recommend this fan.

I bought this fan to use for a camping trip in the Florida summer. I bought it because it could use D batteries if plug into the wall. Perfect for camping since we didn't have electricity. I was impressed how low noise and powerful this fan was. It honestly saved me during my camping trip!

I was looking for fans to have during an emergency/power outage and these have been perfect! We live in Arizona where it’s not uncommon for a summer storm to knock out power for a few hours to a day. Also when AC goes out or works poorly, it’s big trouble. We have a couple exotic small mammals that need to stay below 80 degrees as well as our own heat triggered health issues. The first fan I purchased worked better than another more popular fan that was double the price! After testing it out I decided to order a second fan for our household and one for my mom. Then ordered a fourth one while on vacation for some air movement during our stay in Utah. While they can plug into a power source, I have been testing them with batteries. I have had the same batteries in this fan for two months mostly on the second speed, sometimes all night or all day. I have been consistently running it for a week when home and still haven’t had to change the batteries. It moves so much air for such a small fan. It sits bed side perfectly and is so portable for in the car, camping/outdoors, vacation, sleep overs, ect. Working well for cooling up to 100 degrees at least. We brought it for a short stay at a friends house. Her daughter is non-verbal and sensory seeking and is obsessed with our fans. She steals it away whenever she can and it’s very easy for her to carry and perfectly sized for her as well. She has given it her own toughness test and it held up shockingly well so I would say it’s very well made. Even though we purchased these switch the idea of emergency use, we have been using them at home to stay cool on the hottest days, for traveling and vacation. I wish I had these when my daughter was younger and still in a car seat to cool down the back seat area or to bring in her wagon.

I purchased this item to have as a backup fan for my daughter during power outages. We live in an area that gets a ton of Hurricanes. I think it’s a perfect size, noise does not bother us, and is durable. I love that the fan can be tilted and moved around. Currently, we do use this fan in our vehicle to help cool off our infant. I love the 3 speeds and it will blast you with cool air. I kid you not, we forgot to turn it off after taking our baby out of the car. 2 DAYS LATER… it was still ON!! I just couldn't believe it, And we are still using the same batteries 1 week later. I bought my daughter one of those “octopus” arm fans, that can twist onto stuff. That fan will last maybe 2 hours. I will be buying another one of these fans, possibly two! So glad I found this product!

I purchased this fan so that I have something to help keep me cool during power outages, especially after hurricanes (I am in Florida). I am happy with it overall. Pros: Lightweight, pivot feature is nice, and works on battery or AC. Well-designed. Battery life is decent but only about one-third of what is advertised when tested at middle speed. Middle speed provides decent air flow and high speed is even much better. Cons: If you want to use AC to power the fan, please be aware that it comes with a propriatery power cord (the end that plugs into the fan is not a standard USB). Low speed does not put out enough air to have much effect. Since I wanted a fan that could run for quite a while on batteries during multi-day power outages after a hurricane, I tested it on the middle speed. How I peformed the test: Day one: Ran for 10.5 hours, then turned it off overnight. Day two: Ran it for 3.0 hours in the morning, then turned it off until afternoon. After turning it back on, I let it run. The low-battery warning came on after about a total of 14 hours run time, but the battery did not shut down until a little over 18 hours total. Note, however, that that the last few hours it was running with noticably-degraded air output (similar to low speed or maybe even less). Summary: I obtained about 15 hours runtime with airflow around normal for the middle speed. The listing states that it should provide around 46 hours at this speed, so actual time is about one-third of what is advertised. Obviously, the quality and type of batteries used will bring different results. In my test I was using brand new Panasonic D cells. The run time is still decent, so I am happy with the fan, but the listing is definitely not accurate.
