It took me a while to find a book shelf that would not look just like a rectangle with horizontal lines in it. I was looking for something fun, sturdy, something that would visually agree with the existing bedroom furniture. The Tree Bookshelf was IT! It was very easy to assemble: all pieces were labelled properly and the instructions were very clear with big pictures to follow. The shelf looks as beautiful as it did online. The quality of the piece is great. It looks delicate yet it is very sturdy. But above all, I love how decorative it is and that it allows me to display my books in a fun, unconventional way! I really like this shelf! It holds a lot of books and looks unique and cute. It was just a pain to put together. At first, it was looking like some of the screw holes weren't going to align. This is an amazing and high-quality product from China! The tree shape of the book case is not only aesthetically pleasing but makes book retrieval really easy, because you can only fit a few books on each level. What’s even better is this layout prevents standing books from falling over or the corners of paperback from bending. What a great piece of furniture! Assembly is straightforward but expect to spend over an hour, as the tree shape does make fitting and tightening screws a little more laborious than usual. And while the bookcase itself is of excellent quality and the screws also high-quality, the Allen (hex) wrench and small screwdriver included are subpar and make turning the screws a little harder than necessary. One person can do it alone although the instruction booklet (pretty well illustrated save for one minor typo in the last step) calls for two. ... show more

While the instructions were a little annoying to follow. Easy to put together and works amazing. Now I know it comes with a wall installation. However I will be moving soon so I didn’t use it. As you can see it works well with or without it.
