I mean, you’re gonna get what you pay for! But I didn’t want to spend $800+ on a pergola. This is honestly pretty sturdy and seems quality enough. Takes 2ish hours and 3-4 people to fully assemble, maybe less if you’re more handy than me. My favorite part is that the screen/shade is on a track and is super easy to move and won’t blow away or come undone. It’s going over my hot tub and I’m pleased with what I got. I have read on reviews that the screw holes don’t line up, but I did not have this issue whatsoever when putting it together. Sometimes it just needs a little adjusting to line up, but that’s just common sense. ... show more

    • Sturdy frame, cover lacks ingenuity for harsh weather

For the price, I was shocked at the quality. The frame is very sturdy. The cover has its flaws, though. The day after we set it up, a storm with high winds came. The tried to roll up the cover as much as possible, but no luck. It did not get damaged, however held quite a bit of water (we had 1.5in of rain within 20 mins). I think it would have helped it the cover was 2 pieces, as the picture alludes to. Or, if it would have been easy to remove. I have a seamstress that will make me a new tarp when this one fails..will incorporate Velcro or snaps for easy removal. Definitely 5 stars for the frame, 3 for the cover ... show more
