Let's start with all the positives. I am fairly impressed with how well-designed it is. Seems to be structured well with good support in all the key locations. It was well packaged for shipment. Although the boxes had some holes and bruises, the parts were well protected, only the most minor of dents that were very easy to re-shape. Bottom-line...it's very sturdy and looks great! There is only one negative, if you can call it that. Unless you have a team of four this will take you the better part of two days to put together. I tried to see how fare i could get on my own, but there are just some points where you will find it is impossible not to lean on someone else for help. For those parts, my wife was more than adequately able to assist, so long as it meant getting her new gazebo done ;) There are no written descriptions of each step in the instructions, only pictures. Read the once, read them twice, and read them again to make sure you understand what you need to do and you should be fine. To be clear, the building of this is not hard, it's just tedious. Tip 1: If you are working mostly by yourself like i did, when it comes to installing the roof, you may find that it is best to move through the instructions by section of roof. The instruction book will show you how to do the whole thing at once, but if you take a section and move through the 4-5 instruction pages a section at a time, then cycle back for each successive section, you will find getting some of the hardware installed will be easier. Tip 2: For the frame, get all your screws together "finger tight" then go back and tighten them all when your frame is complete. Same with the roof. do most everything finger tight and then go back around and tighten them all at the end. Then, have beer and a well-deserved rest in your new backyard oasis. Enjoy! ... show more

This turned into a very long assembly. My wife and I were able to get the frame up with zero issues. The problem came when it was time to install the roof panels. The little gutter guards (that's what I call them) kept popping off. None of the panels would line up with holes in the frame. We finally figured out a way that worked for us. The gazebo is awesome. Very sturdy. We added a ceiling fan inside of it, and strung some lights up. I am beyond happy with the finished product and we can't wait to enjoy it during the spring and summer. ... show more

We ordered this pavilion for a new patio and when all is said and done, the pavilion looks great! It’s good size and great quality material. However, with that said, it was a NIGHTMARE to assemble; specifically the roof plates. A lot of pieces didn’t fit together and we had to use brute force to make them fit. Some of the screws are a bit too short to fit where they want us to put them so we actually had to go to the local hardware store to get more appropriately sized screws. In hindsight I would have easily paid someone to assemble this monstrosity. But we love it! Definitely worth the money. ... show more

This gazebo is the best built , most heavy duty and well made product that I have found. It was a bit more expensive than some others but I feel strongly that I got my money's worth. The gazebo arrived in 4 separate boxes that were very large. They came to me in 2 shipments over a 2 day period. 3 long boxes and 1 square box that had the roof panels in it. I found the instructions in the largest of the 3 long boxes. At first I couldn't determine which pieces were in which box but on one of the back pages of the instructions is a list of each box and what is inside of each. That was very handy. It is recommended that the installation be done by 2-3 people. I built mine almost completely by myself. I would say, however that 2 people makes things a lot easier. It took me about 3-4 days to build but I was not in a hurry and took my time. It could be done quicker, I believe with a little more help. The key for me when building the gazebo was not to get ahead of myself. Each page in the instruction book shows the parts and hardware needed to complete one task. As long as I followed this, it was not at all overwhelming. I must say that the instructions were in picture form only without any written notes to help. Some of the steps took me a little while to figure out just what I was being told to do. Once I did, everything went together well. I want to say how impressed I was with the careful engineering and the close tolerances all the parts met. The only small problem I had was lining up some of the screw holes on the roof panels but I think this is where another pair of hands would have helped. I bolted it to my concrete patio and expect it to be there for a very long time. I hope that this is helpful. ... show more

This was extremely smooth to put together, except the instruction book illustrations left a little bit to be desired regarding some steps(10 x 13 model). I put this together over 4 days alone and was recovering from knee replacement surgery 3 months prior. I really don't recommend this attack. However, due to the parts fitting together nicely I wasn't to nervous except while I was on a ladder. I used bungee cords and my head for holding parts in place since I worked alone. The parts might have been better suited broken down in groups of how they went together in each box. The parts list was on the back of the instruction book but I didn't know this till after the gazebo was together. After it was together I have received nothing but compliments as to how it looks. Used it over the 4th of July and rained to the point my wife was in tears. Used the curtains and no rain problems at all from wind issues, not hurricane force obviously.
